If you google your problem you would find that it's a common issue with HP DV series laptops. Please read up on this and hope your laptop is within extended warranty. If not you may soon need motherboard replacing as this is only beginning. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01087277 Good luck!

I have a WRT54GC Router, it was working good, but started to work bad. When I plug the power cable, all LED light and the power LED turns orange.

Have you tried hitting the reset button with a paperclip? That will reset the router to it's default factory settings after that follow the directions for first time setup

No wireless connection for laptop. Linksys router - model #wrt160n v2

you can run a direct line to that router and go to the cisco web site and get the information you need to run that router. its a pdf format and is 2.56 Meg. Try this

SecureEasySetup (Orange/White) The Cisco logo is the Router's SecureEasySetup button. It

lights up and will stay orange when the Router is powered on. The color orange indicates that

the Router is not using the SecureEasySetup feature, while the color white indicates that the

Router is using the SecureEasySetup feature. When the Router enters SecureEasySetup

mode, the Cisco logo will turn white and start flashing. After the Router has generated

the SSID and WPA Personal key, the Cisco logo will stop flashing and stay white.

To clear the SSID and WPA Personal key, press and hold down the Cisco logo for five seconds.

The Cisco logo will flash slowly as the Router resets itself. The Cisco logo will turn orange to

indicate a successful reset.NOTE: SecureEasySetup is a feature that makes

it easy to set up your wireless network. If you have SecureEasySetup devices, run the Router's

Setup Wizard CD-ROM and follow the onscreen instructions to use SecureEasySetup.

Power (Green) The Power LED lights up and will stay on while the Router is powered

on. When the Router goes through its selfdiagnostic mode during every boot-up, this

LED will flash. When the diagnostic is complete, the LED will be solidly lit.

DMZ (Green) The DMZ LED indicates when the DMZ function is being used. This LED will

remain lit as long as DMZ is enabled. WLAN (Green) The WLAN LED lights up when

the wireless feature is enabled. If the LED is flashing, the Router is actively sending or

receiving data over the network. 1, 2, 3, 4 (Green) These numbered LEDs, corresponding with the numbered ports on the Router's back panel, serve two purposes. If the LED is continuously lit, the Router is successfully connected to a device through that port. A flashing LED indicates network activity over that port.

Internet (Green) The Internet LED lights up when there is a connection made through the

Internet port. A flashing LED indicates network activity over the Internet port.

Good luck

NO Power, but when you press power button the wireless led became orange, but stll no power, desplay, and the procesor fan not working,.,

this could be a problem with your power cable. If the power button and wireless LED go orange, means battery is not charged. try to borrow another power cable (if possible) otherwise you will have to bring it to a service center.

No wi-fi signal transmitted

There is a reset button in the back of your router, which will reset it to all default settings. Try this to get the router to work.

Also is it hard wired into another computer? Check it out that way. make sure the router is working.

good luck

My Acer netbook will only keep an internet connect when plugged in.

This netbook has a little orange led that blinks to let you know that the wireless is turned on. Then you know you can connect to wireless networks. Take a look at the photo here:
www.geekzone.co.nz/images/news/AcerAspireOne.jpg

To the right of the touchpad, at the front edge of the palmrest (closest to you) you will see a small silvery stripe. This is where the wireless led is.

First, look and see that the little orange led is blinking. If not, slide the little switch right beside it to turn on the wireless (you should see 'wireless lan enabled' in large green print) If you can't seem to get the orange led to blink by doing this, check device manager and check that the wireless card is enabled. If it has a red X on it, right-click on it and left click enable.

If the led is blinking, but you still can't connect to wireless, see if you can connect to another wireless access point other than your own.

Let me know if this helps or not :)

The device is not working. When I conect the power, power led is off and wireless led is fixed green. Sometimes, when I reset the router, the power led turns orange, and the otrers ligths off.

This is a sign of a bad router already, so if its still under warranty you can go have this unit replace from Linksys , since this is already a hardware problem...

When I connect the ethernet cable to my tower, I gave an orange light. What could be causing this to happen?

What Orange light are you refering to? You have an orange and green LED on the block of the Ethernet connecter, if the cable is plugged into the plug and the other end is terminated into another deive such as a modem, bridge, router or switch the orange light(led) should come on as that indicates a valdi link hence being called the link light, the green light(led) indicates data being received or transmitted. If orange flash with sparks(bad) from the plug it means there is power on the cable..very bad as this could be due to the ethernet card that is faulty or the device on the other end of the cable is faulty.
