My speakers are not giving out any sound. They register as 'working' win all of my sound menus, but there is only silence from the speakers themselves. Help please.

Make sure the speakers are set as the default device. Right click on the sound icon, click playback devices, and then find something like speakers, and right click on it and choose set as default device. If you don't see speakers you can right click on each item and click test until you find one that works.

Can't get sound out of my speakers although sound registers as playing

Check that your computer isn't muted and the volume on the speakers is up. Check that the plug for the speakers is connected correctly. Check to see if the sound card that the speakers are plugged into is set as the default in the control panel. Is there any sound coming out of the front port (earphones). Try another set of speakers.

The registering page does noet respond. I want to register my Garmin Nuvi 2360.

Hello,

This sounds like it could be a internet connection issue. You may want to try restarting your internet browser or rebooting your computer.

Registering your Garmin unit is a very simple process. here is a tutorial i have written up http://www.gpscity.ca/buzz/2010/09/navigate-through-a-garmin-registration-with-ease.html

I have mikomi speakers which worked on old xp pc, new pc with vista and they are not getting recognised

It's probably not the speakers themselves...

Check to see if your sound device is registered normally in Device Manager.

Here is a good flowchart for sound problems.

I bought these speakers Apr 5, 2011 and I want to register the 2year warantee bought with them.

Hi evelyne, what is the make of your speakers? You can probably contact the manufacturer online and register your speakers that way on the manufacturer's website. You say you bought or a 2 year warrantee came with your speakers in the purchase price? Do you have a warranty card or something of that nature? With new products there's normally a warranty card that you have to send off or this card provides a website whereby you can register your product. This is what I do with all the electrical devices I purchase. I hope this helps, if not, give me details of the manufacturer or make of your speakers and I will do some research on your behalf. Good luck. Andrew

My speakers are not working. They are not being registered as a device.

speakers do not register themselves as a device. The interface to the speakers is the sound card. Whether this is an add-on module or part of the motherboard, you need sound drivers for it. Make sure you have these installed. You can search for new hardware to get this done automatically. I would recommend Uniblue software which you can download from the internet if you can't get this working. Make sure you back up all your drivers before overwriting any by new ones.

Hi, Unexpectedly my Garmin Nuvi 360 dropped couple of times. Now I lost the voice from the device. Bought in this Jan. Pls do needful

When you say "voice" do you just mean the voice or all sound? (ex. touch screen beeps, mp3 sound etc.)

Try using a set of headphones. If you hear the sound there, then your speaker is bad. The speaker is a mechanical device and could break. It might be covered under Garmin's warranty if you registered it, however they may not cover the repairs if it was dropped.

I'd try Garmin first if its registered and under warranty. If not please email me at ks3r at sharc dot net and I can offer you a repair quote to replace the speaker.

I have references.
