A critical firmware error has occurred that caused the processor on the formatter to abort operation. This type of error can be caused by invalid print commands, corrupt data, or invalid operations.
In some cases, electrical noise in the cable can corrupt data during transmission to the printer.
Other causes include poor-quality parallel cables, poor-connections, or home-grown programs.
On rare occasions, the formatter is at fault, which is usually indicated by a 79 Service Error.

1. Turn the printer off then on.

2. Press Stop to clear the print job from the printer memory.

3. Turn the printer off then on.

4. Try printing a job from a different software program. If the job prints, go back to the first program and try printing a different file. If the message displays only with a certain software program or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.

5. If the message persists with different software programs and print jobs, disconnect all of the cables to the printer that connect it to the network or computer.

6. Turn the printer off.

7. Remove all memory DIMMs or third party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM.)

8. Remove all EIO (JetDirect Cards) devices from the printer.

*Remember to protect from ESD

9. Turn the printer on.

10. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and on again as you install each device.

Hi, as i turn the printer on its start to print some code!! It seems its on the memory of the printer. Even if i unplug the usbcable it prints by itself. I tried do restore the default config but nothing...

If you are running Windows, then your printer buffer is trying to send the print job to the printer.
Look down below in the STATUS area near the time. See if you have a printer ICON. Select it and choos to CANCEL print jobs. Then after all jobs canceled, turn your printer back on.

Printer is offline - 1 document in queue that won't let me delete it

Unplug printer, reboot PC, put it all back, then it should all either go away, be able to be deleted or it may even print...
See this will clear any buffers that are storing the print job. usually removing from USB & Power, turning printer OFF, Turn PC OFF and then, reconnect, printer, to power and USB turn ON, then start the PC, then first thing go to printer properties and see if the print jobs are still there, if so, either restart, cancel etc...

Error code 49.FF01 can't turn on or off

A firmware error occurred ( This error is usually caused by a bad formatter board)
SOLUTION
1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory. 2. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. 3. Try printing a job from a different software application. If the job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. (If the message only appears with a certain software application or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.) 4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer. 5. Turn the printer off. 6. Remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in the lowest DIMM slot.) 7. Remove all EIO devices from the printer. 8. Turn the printer on. 9. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and back on as you install each device. 10. Replace a DIMM or EIO device if you determine that it causes the error. 11. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer. 12. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 13. Replace the formatter.

What does error code 3501 and 3502 mean on advent AWP10 printer

Printer error code "3501" occurs right before a print job. A flashing screen will tell you that the printer cannot print due to error code "3501". These error codes are generally experienced when you use diagnostic sheet to print and change the ink over them. This error code could also indicate that buffer length of a print was not valid.

When I click on cancel and then on "yes" the printing job continues. Sometimes I want to stop in the middle of the job because I have gotten all that I want printed.

The printer has a buffer which stores data from the computer as it's printing, and even after you cancel a job the printer will keep going until it uses up that data. If you've printed all you need, you can shut off the printer. This will cause Windows to tell you about the communication error, and you can cancel the job then. When you turn the printer back on, the buffer is clear and it won't print anything else until the next job.

How do I clear data from my RAM disk on Dell 3100cn printer

The RAM for the printer is temporary.
turn off the printer and unplug the printer from the outlet. wait for 20 sec. plug the printer in and turn it on.
you can select in the printer properties page of the printer to print immediately instead of spool and print from the last page first. that will eliminated the ob store in the RAM.

Hi, I had weird languge can even read it? What do we do?

I'm guessing you mean the printer is printing out random characters. Cancel the job on PC, and the unplug power cord from printer and wait a bit. This is to erase any print jobs stored in its memory. Plug it back in and turn it on.

Whats error code 3501

According to Kodak, that error just means the cover was open. I noticed when I print a diagnostic sheet that error shows up whenever I change the ink.
