    "Detergent cup, itself

The detergent cup itself can become clogged with old dried detergent that prevents it from opening. Sometimes just cleaning the cup takes care of the problem. If not, you probably need to replace the entire cup assembly"

    Drain valve and/or solenoid

Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water.

Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing

Is your dishwashing unclogged? perhaps using steming water helps to disolve soap.

If you can try inject hot water in the passes where you put dishing washing soap in order to disolve and run out from same or drain side.

Time for a full system flush, including the lower part of your pumps..you ready for a three hour job, or do you want a local service guy to handle this?

I guess I missed the dishwasher liquid information on that troubleshooting guide..simple issue here is that when you use something like the liquid in a machine made for diluting granular, it affects major operations of the system.

a flush, which includes some disassembly and reassembly work(cleaning of parts) can run 2-4 hours at prevailing local rates(around 45 to 70 per hour)..so, you're looking , without parts, at around 300 bucks, minimum. I know that this site is for learning about do it yourself options, but having done this on a commercial basis(took 10 hours with an industrial dishwasher) I can tell you it's not for the impatient(me) or the newbies.

So, call your local appliance folks, and see what they quote.

ALL LIGHTS ON PANEL ARE FLASHING??

All the lights on my incognito started to flash. This was after the drain/intake light started to flash also. I called Miele and they helped me to reset the lights flashing. They said that when all lights are flashing that this indicates an overheat condition. They asked if my filters were clean and I thought they were. However, my wife had started to use liquid dish washing detergent and the liquid detergent had plugged up the filter screen at the bottom of the dishwasher. I cleaned it good with a scrub brushing and boiling water. This fixed the problem. Bottom line, don't use liquid dish washing detergent in a Miele, only powder.

Intake drain light on

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
The problem is with clogged drain filter pump assembly, you can take it apart from the bottom to clean the drain filter pump assembly. After you have cleaned it completely then turn the selector switch to STOP/END or press the START/STOP for 20 seconds. After you have done all this unplug the appliance for 5-10 minutes and plug it back to solve this problem. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Intake/drain light is flashing

When this happens with my dishwasher it usually means that the drain is clogged with food/debris.  To fix 1) remove bottom dish rack from machine 2) using a small cup, scoop out as much water as possible 3) remove inlet drain cover and unsnap the plastic insert and remove 4) rinse the plastic part and reinstall 5) start machine 6) if light still flashes, repeat steps 3 4 and 5 and restart

G 892 intake light on

Reset the program by holding down the start button. It will be blinking. Then try the same wash selection and start it. If you wired correctly the drain pump will run 30 seconds. If the intake light comes on in 5 seconds and the drain pump is still running then you have a leak. Miele dishwashers have a safety system that catches water and triggers the alert. Ifthis is the case, there's nothing you can do but get a repair person to pull the machine out and find the leak. If the pump does drain only 30 seconds, then it will stop the pump and let water in. If it fills okay then it will circulate the water and if you haven't oversudsed it [ Energy Star machines use much less water and therefore make much more suds if you fill up the dispenser too high with detergent ] the suds will not trip the pressure switch. Otherwise it will start to heat the water. If the intake light comes on again it's important to know when it does. The computer inside evaluates 100's of steps. The Techs at Miele will need to run it with you on the phone. They have scripted access to the electronic memory and you participate to find the information. They can determine if you can fix it or not.

I have a Miele G841 SC Plus Novotronic Dishwasher. The Intake/Drain light is blinking and it won't work. What do I do?

I had a problem where my G842Plus dishwasher would run through the prewash and then the intake/drain light would start blinking and it wouldn't work. There would be water in the bottom of the dishwasher. After cleaning out various items to no avail, we called Miele technical support and they told us to reset the codes and then keep trying it over and over until it worked.
Here is how we reset the codes:
  • Turn dial to stop/off
  • Turn dial to Normal Plus
  • Press Start
  • Press power
  • Then press the start button for one second and let go

Miele g841sc dishwasher leaks

Typically the machine only uses 5-6 quarts of water, If you're floor is getting 1 or 2 quarts check for a loosly connected intake or drain hose. I've never seen any overflow drain on a Miele. It only fills the bottom of the tub. The machine uses a logic program that continuously checks the level of fill and drain by water pressure weight so it always runs with proper amount, even if your intake pressure is weak. Now, If you add too much soap then the bubbles can carry a few ounces over a worn door seal. If the seal is damaged then more spray arm water can run down the front of the machine into the float pan. But after it gets less than a pint of water the drain float will start thr drain pump and shut-off the machine controls and alert you. It won't let you run the machine until the water ( and the problem) is gone. Call Miele for help.
