Pc desktop(compaq)

my system's a new one...few days back when i inserted pen drive(that too new one) for copying songs from it..it started givinG run time error-71,72.and also it was warning -some sort of 'path access not found'.then after that day ,my pc's taking al ot time for opening & it is not showing desktop with icons on it..we are using the system by clicking on new task and typping %temp%..is it right do like this every time? PLZ HELP US ON THIS

hello.
the system is infected by virus. you can scan online at this site. http://www.precisesecurity.com/antivirus/online-scan.htm
If this scanner cannot help, you can remove the hard drive and connect to the other computer and scan for viruses.
if not work then i will suggest you to reformat and reinstall the operating system of your pc. after installing the OS don't forget to install the driver of the system starting from the chipset.
