Can you please tell me the air gap between coil and flywheel on a sthill chain saw and flywheel nut size thanks

Use a flexible feeler gauge to measure the gap. The magneto gap for any 2-cycle engine chain saw should 12-18 thousands of an inch. The gap is much less important than simply NOT HITTING the coil frame at any point on the flywheel. The nut is probably metric but I cannot tell you what size it should be. BE CAREFUL! Some chain saws have LEFT HANDED THREADS on such shafts! But you can usually tell by studying the protruding threads at the nut ... if there are any!

Need diagram to replace fuel line to carberator for a Mantis tiller

get a filter with a smaller diameter end. fuel filters come in all different sized ends so find one that is small enough and then it still may take some work to force it on

1988 Chevrolet Berreta, 6 cylinder. I can't find the Air Filter to it.

from autozone.com
  1. Remove either the wing nut, upper cover retaining bolts or release clips from the upper top of the air cleaner and either lift off or separate the upper air cleaner housing or lid.

  1. Wipe the air cleaner housing out using a damp cloth. Check the lid gasket, if equipped, to ensure that it has a tight seal.

To install:
  1. Position the new element in the air cleaner housing.
  2. Position the lid or housing cover, then tighten the retaining bolts/nut or fasten the clips.

Oil runs out air filter

If you have a fuel/oil mixture running out of the air filter, it is most likely you will need to service the carburetor. Today's modern fuels will, over time, gum up the carburetors and small passage-ways within the carburetor making the carburetor ineffective. A carburetor rebuild kit can be a DIY project. Mantis has a very good customer service department that can locate your correct parts and send them inexpensively. The needle within the carburetor (behind the 4-screw plate on the carburetor) is likely not seating properly and the fuel is flowing through the carburetor and out the filter. Thanks!

Mantis 2 cycle - tines lose power.

I had this problem today. Loosen the flange bolt. Pull the engine off and check that the hex end of the shaft is lining up with the clutch pad in the engine-that it seats properly. Then make sure the shaft is seated all the way into the worm gear and put the engine back on. You will probably have to wiggle the shaft until it seats into the clutch. Tighten the flange bolt when the engine is seated flush with the worm housing (with no gap). That's all I did and the power is back up. Hopefully you still have your manual with the parts blow-up. (page 29?) BTW, have you checked that the wormgear is greased?

How to remove carbeurator on honda gx 390

remove the wing nut on top of the air filter housing. remove housing. remove next wing nut over air filter. remove air filter and bottom of housing. next, remove the 2 nuts on those threaded bolts you saw. there is one more bolt that you must remove located between the air filter and the exhaust. now the carb can be removed. this is possibly going to be very difficult but trust me, it can, and must be done. the carb should slide off of those bolts once you break it free from the intake. get your pry bars ready but try not to break any of those plastic parts! good luck.

2000 Buick Century air filter

GM hasn't used any wing nuts on their air filter in cars since they switched to fuel injection. It's either going to be several clips or screws holding the air box together. Follow the air duct from throtle body towards air box. It's normally on drivers side. Should be a flat box with the air duct coming out of it.
