If you have power to the front of the unit then most likely the fuse is good. If you have no power then it's possible that the fuse is blown. Should warn you that IF YOU open the case up to change the fuse, be very careful. there is enough voltage in there to do you some serious harm if you play with the wrong thing.

READ THIS ALL THE WAY THROUOGH BEFORE ATTEMPTING REPAIRS. AS ALWAYS USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

This is going to depend on how much and how comfortable you are with electronic devices. First thing is to get the unit onto a table or someplace where you can work on it confortably.

2- Look at the case on the back, you will see where the metal wraps around the back and the screws that hols this case in place. These screws have to come out. Just the case screws NO other ones.

3- Once you have the screws for the case out you should be able to slide the cover off, if it will not come off, then check underneath and around for screws that may have been missed.

4- Once you get the case opened up just follow the power cord into the unit and through the case. Right there should be the fuse. It will most likely be a 15 amp glass fuse. I said most likely not will be. So don't go buy any fuses till you have the old one in hand.

5-Replace the old fuse with a new one. Do not get tempted to test the fuse out without the cover on the unit. This may be a problem for you. Not sure if the microwave rays are stopped by the case but i never want to find out the hard way. Put the cover back on then you can do a short test. If everything works put the screws back in and button everything back up.

AS ALWAYS HIGH VOLTAGE. BE CAREFULL. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. AND UNPLUG THE UNIT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING. AND AS I SAY HOPE THIS WORKS AND YOU HAVE MORE TIME WITH YOUR MICROWAVE.

MY MICROWAVE JUST STOPPED HEATING, WAS WONDERING IF IT HAS A FUSE AND COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM?

it has a fuse under the outside case but to just stop heating while still having a display indicates a bigger problem
Take it to an appliance repair shop for a quote to repair as most times the cost to repair is almost the price of a replacement unit

I have a samsung microwave model # smh1816s working fine all of sudden stop working no power is there a fuze if so where

They do have a fuse. They also have thermal cutoffs and possibly a thermal flame sensor fuse. the main fuse would be near the control panel the thermal flame sensor is usually near the back of the cavity usually on the left side on the outside of the cavity.

My Panasonic The Genius microwave just stopped working not getting any power to display. Wondering if it is the fuse and where that would be located.

HI, if this unit is totally dead, this may be a power inverter issue. there is a fuse located on this board inside the unit. you will need to gain access to this board and fuse by removing the outer cover. there should be a few screws on the outside of the microwave to remove.

Check the In-line fuse for its value. if the fuse is good, replace the power unit(inverter board)

Microwave won't work

Check the AC fuse in side the oven. If the fuse is ok chek the low voltage transformer . If the primary winding is open replace the transformer.

My emerson microwave has stopped heating up but appears fine

Hi

If your microwave oven doesn't seem to work at all, check these:

Fuses Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it.

Door switch If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work.

Please do rate the solution as "FixYa" if found useful and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Microwave stopped working while cooking. Is there a fuse?

If unit is built-in reove screws holding unit to cabinet.
Slide out about 2 inches to access 3 screws holding grill.
Remove grill to get to two screws holding control panel.
Fuse is behind control panel,
