SOURCE: Need base for Insignia TV

It will either slide out from the front/back or to the side..Some actually bolt on from the bottom using screws/bolts.And then again some are not meant to be taken off.Make sure it is a wall mountable tv.Then try to take the stand off as directed.

Cant help with diagrams but have you tried "freeze". Its a spray that cools components to see if they are breaking down thermally which does sound a little like it could be possibly. The cold component then rights itself when sprayed for a little while till it get warms again.

Best of luck

Since the power light is on the standby circuit is working fine and it is cutting up on powering the circuits, so either it could be a safety trigger or a failer. you will need to cross check by omission flow charting to find out if it is the Main power or the drive power.Check for dry joints or loose connection by tapping the main board to see any reaction to start up. good luck

Can I use 2 - 4 Ohm speakers on my Insignia NSR2001 AM/FM Stereo Recever

Yes. You can. But the volume level should be adjusted. Never use it very high, as it might damage either the unit or the speakers.

How do you hook up an mp3 player to insignia ns-r2000

You will need an Dual RCA to 3.5mm stereo cable. One similar to this: http://www.dcables.net/Dual-RCA-to-3_5-mm-Stereo-Cable-5-Feet.aspx
It would probably be easier to pick one up at your local Wal-Mart or Radio Shack.
Just connect the RCA connectors to one of the audio line inputs and the 3.5mm to your mp3 player. Set your insignia to receive the source you just connected.
Hope this helps

Can't run tv sound from my Vizio M190VA tv through my Insignia NS-R2000 receiver so it will play through my speakers in the ceiling which are connected to the receiver. Is it possible to do what I am...

I have no idea why manuafacturers or users think a TV is a good place to originate sound in this Cable Box age. The Cable/SAT box is for all intents and purpose a hi-fi multichannel audio source like any other audio component, where the TV's audio was probably an afterthought.

With that in mind, source the TV-related audio directly to the NS and skip all that zig-zagging of audio all over the room before it gets to your ears.

I also recommend taking all high-end video directly to the TV/monitor from whatever sources you have. Added cabling (and cost) doesn't help. Let the specialty devices each handle what they master.

Does that help?

I have a fm-am receiver #ns-R2000, I push the power button & it shuts down immediatly, What could be the salution?

The receiver is going into a protection mode. This happens because there is a failure either inside the unit itself or in something attached to it (such as the speakers).

A quick and easy thing to try is to disconnect all of the speaker wires. If your NS-R2000 now stays on, carefully examine all of the speaker wiring to be sure it is not shorted. Also check the speakers to be sure they work properly.

Insignia NS-R2000 receiver

Check the impedance ratings of your speakers. Sherwood, the actual manufacturer of the NS-R2000 receiver, suggests that you use speakers with an eight ohm impedance if you have only one pair attached. If you have two pairs of speakers attached, the impedance rating of each pair should be sixteen ohms.

This is because Sherwood wired the receiver such that an additional pair of speakers is placed in a parallel circuit to the first set. When this is done, the impedance (resistance) of the load seen by the amplifier drops. As resistance drops, you get closer to a short circuit (no appreciable resistance).

Many other receivers wire the speakers in series, which causes the impedance to go up.

Personal experience seems to suggest that the amplifier is OK with a four ohm load on it. It does run warmer with a four ohm load, which is what you'd expect. It's when you have multiple sets of four ohm rated speakers that you will get into trouble, as this means the receiver only sees a two ohm load. This will cause overheating and shutdown.

At this point the power transistors in the amplifier may have been damaged. It may require repair. Fortunately, replacement parts are readily available (though not from Sherwood or Insignia). If it continues to shut down, stop using it. You could end up burning out your speakers.
