Check the rear flue to make sure that it is free of any blockage. Replace the thermocouple. Watch the flame to see if the pilot continues to stay lit as the unit calls for heat. If the flame lifts off the pilot, you may need to adjust your gas pressure. You could have a bad high limit switch (looks much like your thermostat probe). Jump it out and see if it continues to run. Worst case would be a bad gas valve. Good luck.

Hi, from the above question, the problem is not with ht thermostat but with the control board. The control board fails to hold onto power when the device is heated up, that why it goes off automatically..

Take care

Hi, when the whole unit shuts down including the pilot light the
thermocouple is not working properly. The thermocouple is what tells
the gas safety valve that the pilot light is lighted. When the
thermocouple fails and does not send the milli-volt (mv) signal to the
gas safety valve due a failure the gas safety valve turns off the gas
    supply. (i.e total shut down)
If you have a handyman around you
can have him disconnect the thermocouple from the gas valve control and
clean the mating area in the gas valve and on the bitter end of the
thermocouple. After cleaning then reconnect the thermocouple. This
sometimes corrects the problem. FYI you can get a thermocouple at most
any large appliance parts supply. (You will need to the know total
length) It would be even better to have the old one in hand during the
    trip to the parts store.

    Take care

Pilot light won't stay lit after releasing when lighting gas fryer

This symptom indicates something wrong with the millivolt system. Start by checking the wires from the thermopile to the gas valve, insuring they are all tight and in place. Check the hi limit thermostat, if you have an ohm meter it should read .1 or .2 across it. With you meter set to dc millivolts, and flame present on the pilot, read across the thermocouple wires (red and white) to see the millivolts generated, with the thermostat off and the gas valve in pilot position you should get approx 600 millivolt plus minus 50. The pilot will have to be on for a minute or so to get maximum millivolts. If the millivolts are correct, hi-limit closed, and all wiring is connected, you likely have a faulty gas valve. If the hi limit reads more than .1 or .2 replace the limit, if you are not getting the millivolts from the thermopile, replace it.

We r trying to start our fryers.. we were given them and to assistance to start them.. These are gas and we don't have the model number

On the gas valve there is a knob that has 3 positions...ON/OFF/PILOT. Put the knob in the pilot position and push the knob in and light the pilot while keeping the knob pushed in. After about 30 seconds let go and the pilot should stay on. Then turn the knob to the ON position and set the thermostat.

How do you re-light pilot light

Turn the knob on the gas valve to the pilot position. Sometimes you have to slightly depress the knob to turn it..don't use a pair of pliers. In the pilot position.. push the knob in and light the pilot..keeping the knob pushed in for 30 seconds. Let go and the pilot should stay on. Turn the knob to the on position and set the thermostat.

Pilot light stays lit when I turn the gas valve to on. But nothing happens when I Turn the thermostat on. Help

The thermostat control is bad, you will need to replace the thermostat switch and everything will work just fine. Basically the thermostat switch is not sending a signal to the gas valve telling to to turn on

Hi i have cifs40 gas fryer ,i change the control thermostst, when turn on the pilot, after 10 second pilot stay on ,but when turn the gas valve knob on the on position and call for burner with control...

Sounds like the regulator is out of sync. You have to be sure the gas isn't flowing too quickly. There are two gas burner nozzles - one is for house natural gas the other for a propane set up. Be sure this is the correct one and the correct regulated pressure. affece7.jpg
If the pressure is TOO MUCH it will blow the flame out before it starts. Check the flame as you attempt to start it - does it blow out or does it just go out? moz-screenshot-2.png
In closing I think it is your regulator that needs attention.
Best of it

Fryer heats up to 550 degrees and shuts down pilot and triggers the reset button which thermostat is it the operating on or the high end on i have already replaced the gas valve

Either the thermostat is bad or there is a gas leak between the gas valve and the thermostat. Use a soap solution and apply it to the 1/4" gas lines between the thermostat and gas valve. If bubbles appear then you need to fix the gas leak. If no bubbles appear then set the gas valve to the pilot position, remove the gas line marked "out" (the left one) from the gas valve. Turn the gas valve to on. The burners should turn on. Place you finger over the hole where the disconnected line was and the burners should turn off within 10 -15 seconds. If this happens then the thermostat is your problem.

Light pilot on Royal deep fryer. Pilot will not stay lit. Second fryer has larger pilot have no trouble keeping it lit. How can I adjust the pilot so that it will stay lit?

there is a small adjustment screw on the gas valve, turn it clockwise to increase pilot,if that does not work the vent cap on the gas regulator on the back of the unit could be stopped up,remove that cap ,clean out or replace unit can operate without it just fine.If you increase the pilot and it still wont stay lit replace the thermocouple
