If you are refering to the 3 yellow blinks repeated over and over the
boot data is corrupted. Download the firmware update(link below)from Toshiba and unzip the files and folders, copy the unzipped files & folders to a SD card (like a camera uses,I used a 2 gig). Unplug the tv and insert the card into the slot hidden behind the cover above the HDMI inputs. Plug in the tv and watch the yellow blinking stop and a solid blue will light when done. Unplug the tv, remove the card, plug in the tv and all will be good. You could now install the update per it's instructions.

does anyone have this download. Toshiba will not allow any downloads of this firmware and the tv is basically useless at this point.

Thank you so much for this! It worked! I am especially grateful for the rapidshare link to the firmware that is no longer available through the Toshiba site. It is wonderful that there are still people out there who take the time to upload and post solutions for others. :)

Will that file "2007sen069.zip" also work for my Toshiba 57hm167? I believe their basically the same tv except for the difference in size. If it won't work for the 57hm167, does anyone know where I can find the right firmware for it? I'm wanting to know cause my tv is doing that same "3 blinking yellow light" thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've been trying the above solution for the past 11 hours and no luck :-( I was hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones like the above. Does anyone have any other ideas for the same problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks in advance

What's your problem? won't turn on..... yellow/orange light continually flashes three times...

Toshiba Regza 37in - 37HL17
TV will not turn on - Yellow power ind. Light blinks three times...
Fixed with a firmware update (hard to believe, but true). Search Google for a file named: 2007SEN069.zip (don't worry if the page you find it on doesn't mention the 37HL17 - it worked fine). Unzip the file, and copy the 3 folders and 3 files to the root of a small SD card. The SD card MUST be 2GB or less in size (I used a 1GB card), and it MUST be formatted with FAT-16 (not FAT-32). Mine was pre-formatted as FAT (FAT-16). The SD port is on the back of the TV behind a cover plate near the power cable. You do NOT need to remove the back cover of the TV, just the small cover plate (1 screw). UNPLUG the TV; remove the cover plate; insert the SD card (prepped as explained above); Plug in the TV; Watch the yellow lights blink, then turn blue, then go dark; UNPLUG the TV; remove the SD Card and replace the cover; Plug in the TV; Yellow lights will blink a few times (this is normal); when blinking stops, turn on the TV and you should be good to go. :-)
Pictures attached are from a Toshiba software upgrade bulletin I found online.

When turning on the TV the green light on the front does not come on. You hear a click and then about ten seconds later you hear another click but the tv never comes on.

What light do you get, green blinking, red blinking, yellow steady light or yellow blinking light. The led lights will tell what is wrong with your tv.
