Water not heating

Possible failure of the heating coils, you need to open the check the continuity of the coils to confirm. If the coils are good then there is no voltage from the program controler unit at the time of the cycle for heating . Hence it is possible that the controller unit / relay is faulty.

Compressor & fan not running.

Hi and welcome ti FixYa, I am Kelly.
Since you did not include your model number this will be a GENERIC response.

Reasons for the compressor and fan not to run.

1. Defrost control problem. Mechanical defrost timer stuck or failure. On units with Electronic Adaptive Defrost controls; a PCB failure.

2. Defrost thermostat or defrost heating element failure.

3. Fresh Food temp. control failure.

These are the 3 most common failures. The fans should run anytime the units temp control is above the "set temp" and the unit is NOT in the automatic defrosting cycle.

If you provide a model number I can pass on some troubleshooting tips to hopefully help you isolate the failed componenet.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

My Miele G646sc dishwasher is not heating the water and therefore there is deposit of water at the end of the cycle. Please help.

Both the issues seems to be apart. The loss of heating is due to failure of the heating coil, failure of the heating coil control relay , failure of the program controller unit.
All of this must be checked with a multimeter only if you are able to remove and check the control panel of the washer.
Secondly the drain pump/valve can be clogged and is not fully exiting the water after the program comes to an end as the time given to pump out is not sufficient due to low flow - clogging with dirt.
Remove the drain hose/ drain pump and clean the filters , reset the valve/pump to test.

While cooking a potato the unit just quit heating. Still sounded like it as working but no heat

Sorry to read about your problem.
It seems your have a general failure in the power control or switch failure on the unit. if your unit has power, and things lite. it is more likely you have a control/switch problem,

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response, thanks and good luck

seems to me the heating elemint may be gone. You may have one or two in your unit but if your getting NO heat both may be gone.

Where is the heating elemint

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, you will need to open the panel under the door. This is accomplished by removing the screws under the bottom edge of the lower panel. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the dryer, it makes access to the screws much easier.

With the screws removed, the panel will drop down and off. The heating element is located on the right-hand side under the drum, inside a heater box. CAUTION: Make sure you UNPLUG the dryer before servicing anything inside the unit. Dangerous voltage is still present even while the unit is turned off.

Is there any reason why you need to know where the heating element is? Do you have a heating problem? Please elaborate?

If the model number is not correct, please post back with the correct information. If you need further assistance, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.
