Question about Televison & Video
Trying to fix a Goodmans 32'' LCD TV (LD3266D.) The problem is the tv screen going black after 1-2 seconds from switching on. After doing some reading I was confident that changing the inverter would fix the problem - but it hasn't. Exactly the same thing with a new inverter. Any help on what I need to look at next would be appreciated.
You need to check the supply voltage to the inverter, typically it is 24v. Make sure it's not bouncing around too much. Also, there will be an inverter ON line; it should go HIGH (5v or so) and stay there. If you have the 24v and it's good... and the ON line is good... you have a bad CCFL tube in the backlighting system. If this is the case, you would have to replace the panel. If the 24V line is bouncing around and dropping more than a few volts, your power supply is bad. If the ON line is cutting out, you probably have a bad main board... inverters don't typically feedback errors to the main board. So if the main is shutting the ON line down, it's suspect. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.
