Denon 3806 El backlit remote control

Denon 3806 El backlit remote control. It appears that the bottom 2 rows of backlit buttons don't illuminate anymore e.g when DVD selected on remote the "Stop" "F.Forward" "Rewind" "Pause" are not backlit but still function normally.Any clues on how to remedy this
