Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver
I put the address into my tomtom and it will not work. Keeps saying 'waiting for a valid GPS signal'. I left it for a while and thought it would pick up the route eventually but it did not. In the end I had to use my road map. I left the tomtom on for the whole journey but nothing happened. Help!
Not sure if this will help you or not. GPS needs a clear line of sight, tall buildings, bad spot in your car or on your dash, weather conditions and pink elephants all will interfere with the GPS signal. Keep the unit low and as far forward as you can so that it has the best chance for signal. Best position i have found is 3-4 inches above the heater vents on the dash and directly in front of you since this is the spot that is generally unobstructed by anything.
One final thing, sometimes you have to shut them down start driving then turn it on, they do sometimes lock themselves up and out of things. Don't know how or why but it does happen. See pink elephants for better results.
Hope this helps
