Cub cadet 1641 lawn tractor won't start

Only starts if I jump solinoid with screwdrivers. is it the ignition switch, pto switch, or any other saftey switches? how can I check?

Beings you can get to the solenoid I would check it first. There is a small post (not battery or starter), touch a jumper wire from battery to this post. Then with a test light check the wire to that post w/key in start position (remember you must be in regular start condition for this test). If no light, you can only go to each switch one at a time and bypass then try to start again. Not sure how many there are.

check for a fuse behind the ignition
it might be blown
then i would check the starter solenoid
if you put a screwdriver accross the bolts that hold the wire from the starter and ignition switch and it tries to start there's ur problem.

Pto won't stay ingaged on 1641 tractor 1993 year with briggs eng.

the clutch may need adjusting the clearence should be 10 thou you measure with a feeler gauge through the three holes on the side and adjust with the three nuts

Cub cadet z54 will no start

one of the safety switches are bad it could be the seat are the clutch are the blade switch you can try jumping a wire to the posts after you unplug them one at a time

I have a cub cadet zforce 48 zero turn. It wont start unless I jump across the solinoid. I've changed it and still does the same. Whats the problem?

Make sure the control arms are all the way out, the brake is locked in the on position. There are safety switches on each control arm and one on the brake lever, also there is a safety switch on the seat...if either is faulty the mower will not key start.
