The picture has began to flicker as though someone is shining a flash light on it, the picture is unsteady and a band has appeared at the bottom of the screen

Sounds like it's drunk

No really,..........think about it a minute............
Someone is shining a flashlight at it - Cop
The picture is unsteady - Drunk
A band has appeared at the bottom - Things a drunk sees

Sorry................you just have to have a warped mind like mine

Diagnose.......

1) Graphics chipset
2) Video Cable
3) screen Inverter -> IF USED
4) LCD Screen

I abhor posting generic one-size-fits-all information.
Post the laptop manufacturer name, and model number in a Comment.

This can be found on the Bottom of the laptop.
For example on a Compaq or HP laptop, there is a white Service tag on the bottom.
Product Number is what is needed. P/N = Product Number.

This way I can guide you step by step. It's confusing enough with exact information being given to you, much less pile a bunch of not needed info with it.

Diagnostic flowchart:

Graphics chipset. An external VGA monitor will be attached to the laptop, to check.

Video Cable:
Connections can come loose. Video Cable may have received damage.

screen Inverter:
A small circuit board mounted to the bottom of the Screen Frame, and behind the Display Bezel.

[The LCD screen is an assembly. It is composed of layers, and these layers are held in the factory set position; by a metal Screen Frame. Resembles a picture frame.

The plastic frame in front of the LCD screen, is the Display Bezel ]

LCD screen:
No explanation needed here.
This is the LAST component in the diagnosis. If everything ELSE is good, then this is replaced.
NOT replace LCD screen first!

Im 9 years old and i need to draw spongebob for my school activity. please help me .thank you

The easiest way to draw Spongebob is to get a copy of him and put it under a piece of paper and trace over the lines.

If you get a picture of him and put a blank piece of white paper on top of it, you can still see Spongebob right through the white paper. Take a pencil and trace over the lines of his picture on the white paper. When you are finished tracing the lines, you will have made your own spongebob picture.

Please make sure that tracing a picture is "ok" for this assignment with your Teacher. If your instructions were to draw your own picture of Spongebob then tracing someone elses picture of him could get you into trouble.

If you can't find a picture of spongebob to trace, here is a link to one that you can use:

http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.glitters123.com/glitter_graphics/Sponge_Bob/Sponge-Bob-Glitters-2.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.glitters123.com/glitters/sponge-bob/&usg=__RTcUD-OEzyLvXytYF_fnwIf_jbo=&h=363&w=367&sz=141&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=p52X0Lmh5jxu0M:&tbnh=138&tbnw=140&ei=cnwVTqKEEYeQsQLNxJVK&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsponge%2Bbob%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1024%26bih%3D599%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=141&vpy=251&dur=1003&hovh=223&hovw=226&tx=91&ty=99&page=1&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0&biw=1024&bih=599

Click on the link above and it will open a website that has a picture of sponge bob. Print a copy of that picture and use the method above to trace a copy of it.

If you dont have a printer, click on the link above to view the picture of spongebob on your computer screen and put a piece of white paper over the computer screen and use a pencil to trace over the lines using that method. Be careful not to press too hard or you might damage your computer monitor screen.

Good luck!

I don't know how i will start drawing manga on MS PAINT, can you please help?

  1. Open up the MS Paint program to start a new document. The program can be found in the Accessories menu on your computer.
  2. Click on the background and foreground boxes, and select the colors you want each to have. Using a white background and black foreground is the most common choice for drawing manga because you can colorize it later.
  3. Select the tool you want to use to draw a manga picture of a face, for example. Using the pencil tool allows you to draw any type of shape you want while clicking on the buttons for ellipses or rectangles will make that shape appear on your screen.
  4. Draw the facial features with the pencil or brush tools.
  5. Make light glares in the eyes by using the eraser tool. Click on it, and then remove a small section of color from inside the iris.
  6. Create hair by clicking the "Line" and "Curve" buttons. These tools draw lines wherever the cursor is placed.
Hope this helps :)

How do you draw on GIMP 2?

Open a new file, enter the size of picture you want to draw, click on OK.
This gives you a new canvas, click on the pencil in toolbox on the left hand side, bring your cursor back over to the canvas press and keep the left mouse button down and move the mouse, you're drawing.

57HX81 Toshiba. picture gets squiggly on dvd input

Perhaps 2 things. Does TV get a picture without DVD connected? If so I would bet you have a faulty connection in your signal board where the in jacks are at the back of the TV . Check to make sure cable from DVD are not bad, I have used cables before and got a false positive. Try turning and spinning the jacks once you have a picture.Make sure your signal board is firmly pressed into its slot on the signal board chassis. Thats it for now. Good luck.

Problem with my A3 flatbed scanner

The preview, if it is thumbnail picture, it is difficult ti decipher. Dont worry about that. Pencil drawings are very light and needs higher contrast. Try a few options and you can select the best one. If you scan a pencil drawing in grey, it may appear light and also file size will be bigger.
