Dear Iokay, I followed your instructions and set the cadvanced menu as you suggested, and got no change in the print. In the Elements print menu, there is a box labeled "rendering Intent with 4 choices - Relative Col;orimetric, Absolute Colorimetric, Perceptual and Saturation. Could thius setting have an impact on my problem? On that menu there is another choice - Color Handling - none, printer manages, and Elements manages. In the past this has always been set on Printere Manages. But eacxh of those settings produces the same print. The print appoears to have a blue cast, except for the U.S. Flag whose col;ors are perfect.
This problen has only showed up recently. I have printed hundreds od stunning photos pre4viously. I am broken hearted today.

I hope there is a simple solution.
    Regards, David

Hello dave, hi, here are some possibilities why your printer does not print the correct color (aside from the traditional color matching problem with printer manufacturers)

1. One color ink is empty, this forces the printer to MIX color from availlable inks it have.
2. An ink cartridge is dirty, and ink cannot pass through the cradle, or paper.
3. A dirty ink cradle. you need to clean this using a swab of warm water to melt the dried ink. Check manual for proper cleaning.
4. Is your monitor produces the 3 primary colors? red green blue

Do something about this and let me know your progress.

Hi,
There may be different reasons for that. First of all, you may try to check the printer settings before printing.
To do that:
- Open the printer settings window. (Please see the picture below.)
My printer C-120, does not print the color that is - f4c4209.jpg

- Click the Advanced tab. - Select the print quality setting as photo if you print photo. - Select the paper type settings for the paper you loaded. - Check Color management options as in picture above. - Save your settings to use later as custom setting.
- Click Main tab to select basic printing options. - Select quality option that matches your document (photo).

- Then print a color document to test. (You can check the other settings in the menu which can effect the print quality.)
NOTE: You did not write detailed information so that this solution may be the first step to solve your problem.
As second solution (if your ink cartridges are not empty), you can clean the print heads by following the instructions in the manual. To do that: -Click HERE to download the online html manual. - Select the Adjust print quality on the left menu. - Select Clean the print head on the same menu. - Then follow the instructions written on the main page.

Hope this helps.

    Hi,

As I see you solved the problem following my second solution which I sent you in my first message.
I forget to insert the link of the on line manual, but you found and downloaded the manual and cleaned the print head as I said.

I am not sure if your last two comments were for me or not. But if yes I am pleased to help you.

I would appreciate if you confirm my solution.

    Thanks a lot.

Just recently, the printer is not printing wirelessly, but will print when I need to make a copy of something.

Sounds like you have lost your wireless connection. Does your pc still "see" the printer? Turn the printer off and PC off. Then turn the printer on followed by the pc. Does it work now? If not delete it and then reinstall it. Check your wireless setup on your pc.

Depending on version of windows, if you double click the icon for the printer it should open the print queue window. Then click on the option that says printer on the top left of that window and select delete all documents.

Why is the colour in my photographs not printing as they are in my laptop I have added new inks and cleaned the printing heads

Anonymous, there's a whole science of "color management" that you've invoked. First, what you're seeing is truly caused by lack of "calibration" in any stage of your workflow.
Your camera takes pictures, and whatever colors it sees are what it sees.
Your monitor shows you colors, but there's no standard calibration involved.
Your printer prints colors, but it too isn't calibrated to any standard.\

Assume for a minute that your monitor is set up to be a little too dark. You edit the pictures, and lighten them up so they look ok on screen. Now, when you print the picture, it's too light.

I've had similar issues, and have ended up purchasing a monitor calibration tool (Color Munki Smile) to calibrate my monitor, software "Profile Prism" to calibrate my printer, and now the prints I get look almost exactly like what I see on screen...

I have hp 7130 deskjet and i cannot print in color initially i had bad printhead cyan and yellow error but after i cleaned print head all errors are gone but still cannot print color

Cleaning, unfortunately takes up a lot of ink. Check ink levels. If you need to, you may have to put new cartridges in every 100 or 120 pages or so depending on how colorful the documents are.

How much printing have you done with this printer?

Screen colour not matching the printed pages

Unfortunately that's the age old problem of matching colors between computers and printers. Your printer is probably not the problem, that's why he couldn't fix it. Even though your monitor is set to default values it doesn't mean that your colors are correct as colors can vary from monitor to monitor and the color temperature is probably too high causing the colors to look lighter than the printout. The picture on the monitor may look good to you, but it's not set right for matching printer colors. Monitors use RGB (Red, Green & Blue colors) colors and printers use CYMK (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta & Black) colors and you have to make them get the results you want. You will have to do some tweaking of your monitor's settings to get it to match the printer output. Below are some links that will help explain things better and maybe help you adjust your monitor.
