You can do some simple checks to see if things work. take a small battery (any physical size will do) from a working flashlight or similar item then put the small plug from the speakers on one terminal and then use a wire to touch the other terminal to the second contact on the plug. you should get a clicking sound from the speakers. Once you know the speakers work you want to plug the plug into the SAME colored jack on the computer. Watch out since the light blue and the light green can easily get confused. If you still don't have sound check the small speaker symbol on the bottom tool bar on the computer to ensure the speakers aren't muted and the volume is up. If there is no small speaker on the bottom you can go to the Control Panel (accessed from the start button) and find the SOUND icon. double click it and see if you've got sound enabled. If you have a set of small ear plugs such as earbuds for an ipod, you can check the sound at the back of the computer before going to the control panel. If, in the first instance, you do not get any clicks from the speakers, be sure that the speakers are powered (either by fresh batteries or a small wall transformer). Good luck and good hearing <grin>. Fishlung

I dont kno the wiring colors for my 2000 taurus radio

All you need to do is get the power, ground, and antenna hooked up then start with two colors matching, example: one purple and one black with purple line hook those up to a matching speaker wire then turn stereo on and go to balance setting choose back left if speaker does not sound then go back right and if speaker does not sound then try front speaker right and then left once you find correct speaker move on to next two matching remember to. Mark wires FL or fr or bl or back right. Good luck

I have an "ilife" Which

You would be tempting fate.

There is usually a reason a given connector doesn't accept bare wires. RCA conenctors not only amke better physical and electrical connections but they make sure ground is to ground and signal is to signal and neither touches anything else.

There are no outputs provided for either signals or speakers.

I am using this amp for an intercom system. I have 24 speakers hooked up in a train fashion but I am unsure on the back of the amp where my black and white speaker wire should go, can you help me? I have...

Hi,

It's depending on which speakers you are using. If you're using 100Volt speakers you can connect them on ch.1 between 0 and 100 volt. Then you are using only ch.1.

Unsure of how to mount Step2 Super Cool Disc Swing, instructions that came with item are not helpful (i'm more a visual person).

you have to go to home depot get an s hook and some rope, loop the rope around the tree, attach the s hook and then hook the circle part of the step 2 swing to the s hook.

Ijust bought this for my daughter and she has yet to learn to balance herself on it, but it's low enough to the ground i don't have to worry about her seriously hurting herself.

VGA Support for Polaroid TV

It will work if the resolution is set to the correct level. Probably best to start the laptop at 800 x 600 and work up.

Getting Surround to work

The easiest way is to hook up your DVD/VCR combo directly to the back of your Sharp LCD TV, then run a component audio output from the TV to the audio input in the back of the receiver. Make sure you hook up your front, center and rear speakers correctly to the receiver, then go through with the speaker calibration steps - per manual, then it should work with no problem. Good luck!
