Is this your windows Password? Or the BIOS password? If you are talking about the Windows, you can simply press F8 at boot many times until you get to the Windows Advanced Menu. Choose Start Safe Mode and after it boots you might your Account name and the "Administrator" account. Log in as Administrator (usually with No password) and go to Start - Contorl Panel - User Account and click on you account name, and then simply remove password. Do not click on change because it will ask you the old password and you dont know it. If it's the BIOS password please let me know.

You can run recovery by pressing F9 at startup (Asus logo), also you can download Trinity rescue kit from their site. Follow the steps shown, very easy to use.

The original battery for my Asus Eee PC 1005 PEB failed and the computer stopped working. I replaced the battery and the computer still won't come on.

The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Troubleshooting asus eee pc 900 series acts like its gonna boot then my scream goes black. HELP

If your computer is less than a couple years old it should have its own recovery partition you can boot into. For Acer laptops it is usually pressing F9 just after starting the computer from off power, from there you should follow the steps to recover your operating system to an older time. Preferably the last time you used Windows Update (there should be a highlighted date in the calendar that pops up).
Also note that if F9 does not work look around the bottom of the screen when the Acer logo appears during startup to see what button is for System Recovery or something of the sort.
If this does not work or no option for system recovery is available please post back here and I will have more instructions

Press F8 as the computer is booting up and from the list that presents itself select SAFE MODE then select the Administrator account. Hopefully this account does not have a password, most of the time it does not.

password protection is difficult defeat.

the easiest solution is to RESTORE the unit,
following the ASUS instructions, in the manual
that came with your unit.

important note: this does NOT affect any work
you have on your SD Cards or USB flash drives.
these will still work in another computer, if needed.

RESTORE from the DVD or by holding down the F9
key as the unit boots-up (see manual).

after the restore is finished, be sure to go the
SETTINGS tab, select PERSONALIZATION icon.
then check the box - "log me in automatically"

Asus computer password reset.

To unlock a forgotten Windows password on Asus, there are several free methods:
1. With another admin account.
2. With Windows password reset disk.
3. From Safe Mode.
4. With CMD.
5. Using "lusrmgr.msc"
More details you can found on other sites, it is easy to find.

Another tip: Unlock forgotten Windows password with Windows Password Recovery Tool.
1. Install this program on another computer and create a password recovery disk with USB
2. Insert the disk to your laptop and set your laptop to boot from it.
3. All user accounts will be loaded, then you can reset any user password.
