Question about Dell Inspiron 9200 Notebook
If I allow my Inspiron 9200 to go into standby, it is extremely difficult to get it to come back on, actually it is getting next to impossible. The first few time I took the battery out for a while and let it reset itself then it turned back on. Tonight, I had to continually do that in order for it to finally come back on. When the power button is pressed, it lights up for a few seconds and goes back off. Also, it will not come on if the power cord is plugged in. Any suggestions?
Thanks so much,
I would suggest going to the Dell website and making sure you have the most up to date drivers, including chipset drivers.
If that doesn't fix the situation you can disable standby by going to the control panel> Power Options, select each theme and disable standby, also goto the advanced tab and make sure your power button doesn't cause your computer to go into standby. Note that disabling standby doesn't actually fix the issue, it just disables standby.
