Re: How do you reformat the hard drive for hr-20/700
If you go into the DVR's Menu/Setup there will be menu selections to
"Restart Receiver" and "Reset Receiver" In the reset menu you should find three options "restart receiver" which
is roughly equivalent (and possibly safer) than the reset button or a
power cycle. "Reset defaults" will clear all of your preferences and
personal setting without affecting recordings. "Reset Everything" pretty
much returns the receiver to ground zero and deletes everything.

If the PCM detects high torque converter slip when the TCC is commanded ON, then DTC P0741 sets. DTC P0741 is a type B DTC.
The powertrain control module (PCM) controls the torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid valve pulse width modulation (PWM). The solenoid controls the hydraulic fluid for TCC apply and release. When the TCC is applied, the engine is coupled directly to the transmission through the TCC. The TCC slip speed should be near 0.
• Inspect the transmission fluid level.
• The transmission may be in hot mode. Inspect the transmission fluid lines to the radiator. The lines may be pinched, plugged or twisted.
Do you own a professional or factory scan tool ?
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Important: Before clearing the DTC, use the scan tool in order to record the Freeze Frame and Failure Records. Using the Clear Info function erases the Freeze Frame and Failure Records from the powertrain control module (PCM).
Record the DTC Freeze Frame and Failure Records.
Clear the DTC.
Drive the vehicle at 72 km/h (45 mph).
Using the scan tool, command the torque converter clutch (TCC) pulse width modulation (PWM) solenoid valve ON.
Operate the vehicle under the following conditions:
• The transmission fluid temperature (TFT) is 20-133°C (68-271°F).
• The engine torque is 43-215 N·m (32-159 lb ft).
• Drive the vehicle in D4 with a throttle position (TP) angle of 10-50 %.
• Ensure that the TCC applies for more than 5 seconds.
Monitor the TCC slip speed.
During TCC application, is the slip speed within the specified parameters?
Hello mabusse The sofware is too heavy for your computer . You can improve it's function buy setting the quality to a lower level , it will record smootherly but of course the image will be less sharp . I experienced my self that the best way to succeed in recordong video tapes or tv programs is to use a stand alone recorder . Best regards , fanaudi .
The hard drive is failing. I suggest you have it replaced before it is totally gone. When the technician comes out ensure he checks the system end to end to eliminate any other possible issues that may be conducive to a future loss of service. Dish technicians are tasked with this responsibility however a sub may not do the same. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
you may want to check all of your coax conections and stray ground shield piece littl tiny silver mtal wire will cause that reaction or you may have a ad reciever if so if ou have the directv inurance they will replace it for no cost to you at all.
Ok this is generally caused by the "Frame Rate" usually for full motion video faster is better and about 25 frames a second will give OK picture.. with say 30 frames a second being better, faster means more CPU usaeage too. You need to use the program to "Set" the frame Rate. You could try my old Favorite Amcap here.http://www.freewarezoom.com/archives/amcap
This will at least allow you to test stuff.
