a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Universal remotes are not compatible with any Coby TV. You can get a remote directly from Coby:

NOT SOLUTION. I wrote customer service at the vendor and I called customer support at the manufacturer. The vendor wrote me back and Coby Customer Support told me the same thing: There are no codes for the TFDVD2274. So now I turn on the lights and figure out which stupidly placed identical button is for pause, play, reverse, fast forward, etc. That is, after clicking the identical button (but fairly easy to find since it is the top left button of all the identical buttons) that pops up the mode options and clicking the up-down arrow 5 or 6 positions to change from TV to DVD. All fairly learnable once you have done it a few hundred times.

SOURCE: No picture on coby tv
I'm not certain but it sounds like there is a loose video cable in there...if you are able to, take the tv apart, and literally push on all of the connectors and cables to make sure they are not loose. The main video cable may not seem to be loose, but once it is making contact again, it should clear that mess up. Just look for cables running to the main screen and pull them off and put them back. Then put the tv back together again and see if it worked...it usually does. why does this happen? Some blame it on dust, others blame it on quick manufacturing processes...whatever the case, the cables become slightly seperated from the controller board and that happens...it also happens to computer monitors too...Good luck and take your time. If there are a lot of screws and things either take pictures of where they all went or write it down. I like to make a diagram on a piece of paper and tape the screws on the diagram to show where they went.
