This unit has worked fine for a year. Now all of a sudden it is blowing the 3 amp in line fuse only when I plug up the network plug. I sent the unit back to lowrance and they supposedly sent me a new unit. It is still doing the same thing. I unplug the GPS reciever and it still blows the fuse. This unit has worked fine for a year. samsung motherboards are bad for going out. they are 125 dollars online, if you have the technical skills to replace them.. basically just plug and play, with LOTS of screws to take off.
I have seen this before were the 46 fuse keeps blowing and it is usually after somone has had the radio and heater control out. There should be 2 wire harnesses that plug into the back of the heater control but the 1 will fit the extra plug on the back of the radio and the customer had the heater harness pluged into the radio. Radio worked fine but the rear defogger and a few other heater controls did not and it would blow the 46 fuse as soon as the key is turned on,.
dis-connect wiper motor and replace fuse and try switching wiper motor on if fuse does not blow motor faulty and shorting out and causing fuse to blow.if still blows fuse must be a short in the wiring from wiper motor plug back to wiper motor switch.
make sure nothing in cig lighter socket..coins,etc..if nothing present, unplug cig lighter socket and replace fuse..if fuse doesn't blow,it's the socket causing fault..if it does, unplug radio, plug cig lighter back in and replace fuse..if fuse doesn't blow, radio is cause of fault..if it does, then ther is short in wiring
unhook black wire from harness and the ground from pioneer unit install the ground wire from pioneer unit to frame of car (you may need extra wire to do this) make sure the black wire from pioneer unit is bolted to frame of car not to the harness black wire........fuses will no longer blow and you will have your lights.
