Screen burn is a problem that tends to effect Plasma screens more than LCD screens. It is caused by static images leaving an 'imprint' on the screen.
There is a program that you can download here that is designed to remove screen burn from your screen. Next you need to connect your screen directly to your computer and run the program at maximum screen resolution.
The program performs a number of operations on the screen to eliminate the screen burn. This takes at least 6 hours to complete.
