How to stop wap message on iphone

I have an iphone 3gs with no credit currently, every few seconds a wap message appears telling me i need 17p credit to access wap even tho i am not doing anything on the phone, i turned the wifi and 3G both off and this message still annoys me every few seconds, when i do top up money dissappears from my phone until its back to 0, i have 02 unlimited and 1 year free internet so i should not be losing money as all my friends are 02 aswell. I rang 02 they said it was an error and my money would return to the phone but its been a month now and still at 0, please help.

I've been having the same problem (as it would appear many others have too - specifically on O2)

I tried various solutions including turning different things on and off.

Finally, I have turned off both the 3G and the Cellular Data settings. So far this has stopped the message for the last hour and it hasn't come back yet.

Although you won't be able to access the internet / MMS service through your service provider - although Wi-Fi internet should still work as normal. ^_^

My iphone keeps coming up with a message from WAP saying: 02: you need atleast 17p calltime credit to access your mobile internet service.... etc and i have no credit.. how do i solve this problem and get...

You need to disable 3G and VPN. To do so, go to Settings> General> Network. Make sure the "Enable 3G" option is turned off. Next, tap VPN at the bottom of the screen and make sure to turn it off too.
If the 3G and VPN are turned "ON", your iPhone will try to connect to the internet everytime it catches signal, normally this happens coz of Mail app and others that require internet connection.
