Re: unable to restart / shut down
You may need to scan it to clean all the rubbish out. Not virus infections but other stuff you get when on the net. AdAware from Lavasoft, and Spybot Search and Destroy will get rid of loads if it's never been done. Also try a registry cleaner. Reg Mechanic from PC Tools is excellent for repairing a corrupt registry. When you have done that check for programs which startup when you switch on. You can see exactly what starts by typing msconfig in the Run box on the start menu and pressing enter. Then click the Startup tab at the top. You can disable things you don't want to start by unticking them. When you have finished click Apply and restart the computer. When it starts up a box will pop up in the middle of the screen just to tell you that you have changed things. Tick the little white box on the left of the popup and click OK, then it won't popup again.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

If you have Windows
Left-click START or the round blue Windows icon at bottom left of screen.
Or press the Windows key at bottom row of keyboard.
Left-click the white right-arrow symbol next to "Shut down".
This drops down a choice menu.
Now sit back and watch the magic happen.
Otherwise to shut down click the Shut down bar in Start window.
Or in case the PC freezes / hangs press "Power" button.
If an application hangs, stopping your computer, you can also try close down the app in "Task Manager".
Wait until the Task Manager options window pops up on screen.
Left-click "Start task Manager"
Shut down the app then exit TM.
Reboot to refresh memory.
Since the battery on this particular phone is not removable, you can try holding down the power button until it auto shuts down.. it may take 1-2 minutes. Once it shuts down, let go of the power button. Then press the power button like normal to turn it back on.
Whats the operating system on this laptop? I asked this as u unplug the computer Win VISTA will slow down and cause other program to not run in general, the setting can be changed in control panel settings. Or upgrade O/S to Win 7.
If I understand correctly; your laptop is hanging( hung in a loop ) and unable to function. I suggest a "Hard Shutdown". This will allow the computer to restart. Press and hold down the laptop's power button for approximately 15 seconds. The laptop should power off then press the power button normally and it will restart. Start up may take longer especially if you are using a Windows Operating System. The Operating System may detect that there was a problem and will attempt to correct. Simply follow the onscreen prompts. Good Luck.
It's not good to leave your laptop hanging like that. Press and hold the power button until it turns off. If you are unable to turn it off by holding the power button, press ctrl + alt + delete at the same time. (all three keys) Then choose windows task manager. Click on "shut down" and wait for the pc to turn off.
fristly you have to restart your computer after that press F8 key and then take your syster on last know good configuration. it will be start . if any problem occured tha press again F8 then run is safe mode if problem is continue the restart your computer press delete key,F9,F12 and key may be for boot menu the see your configurat press F9 for default configuration then restart your compute by F8 key in last know configuration it will be start
There is not a reset button that model. The only other way to force restart it would be to unplug the computer from the outlet. This is not a recommended method but, it can be used a last resort if your computer is hanging.
