Yesterday, I bought a brand new Plustek 9630P scanner which I must say works very well. Except for one thing. Whenever I place a photo on the left edge of the scanner (or if a picture is large enough to reach that far), the scanned image comes out with a transparent yellow strip down the side, over part of the photograph. I tried several different photos, and all had the same problem. I then looked at the lamp which passes beneath the glass and noticed that it is not exactly straight. I don't know if this could be the problem or not.
I really need to know what may be causing the problem as soon as possible.
We have seen this problem before and the easiest way to solve that problem is to do the following.
1. Shut down your machine 2. Unplug the scanner's power from the back of the scanner 3. Unplug the scanner's data cable from the back of the scanner 4. Leave disconnected for roughly 30 seconds 5. Reconnect everything and turn the computer back on
That should solve your problem. I read one of your other postings about the scanner making a noise when starting to scan. That is normal because the scanner does make sure that it is aligned properly so you get a great scan every time.
