Question about Maytag Atlantis MAV6451 Top Load Washer

Will not work

I loaded the machine, it filled with water and then it stopped working. I unplugged it and let it sit all night and plugged it back in and nothing. I don't even hear the sound of the motor when I pull the timer to start. It just doesn't do anything. Can you help? Can it maybe be the timer?

Check the lid switch first, can you hear any "clicking" just before the lid is closed, try opening and closing a few times listening closely for he click, if not sounds like a bad lid switch(not recognizing the lid is closed and for safety reasons will not advance further.(far more common issue hen the timer)

Why dose water keeps filling wash when off oasis he 27082 top load

The timer turns the water on to fill, the pressure switch turns it off. If the water contacts are welded together (can happen over time) then the water solenoid will be on all the time. Easy way to check. Unplug the unit, then remove the electrical plug from the water valve (hot or cold depending which one is causing the issue) plug unit back in. If water stops filling the timer is bad. If the water does not fill then the timer is fine, but the water valve solenoid is bad.

The water is continually running in my maytag atlantis it seems like it has lost its ability to stop the fill process at the right time.

Try unplugging the machine then plug it back .. this may reset the electronics .. if not ... call a repairman.

I was going to wash a load of towels and the washer filled up but I realized it wasn't enough water in it so before I could set the dial for more water, it stopped filling up so I set the dial for more...

Look around at outlets that are close by and make sure you didn't trip one of your GFCI breakers or plug in something to the same outlet and make sure you have power at the outlet where the washer is plugged into.

Our BUNN vpr is plugged in 24/7 and stays warm all the time. This seems like a big waste of electricity to me, but I have been told that when they tried to unplug the last one between uses, they had to buy...

VPS/VPR are pour over brewers. Like the 12 cup brewers you find at home, they need to be filled with 12 cups of water (a full pot), heated and then peculated over the coffee grounds and collected in a decanter.
BUT there is one main difference! The VPR and similar COMMERCIAL coffee machines are quick brewers. They usually have a pre-heated pot of water stored inside the machine.
* VPR's and similar machines REQUIRE a pre-fill and heating period prior to brewing. This means it's sitting on a level table and filled with water until water sprays from the brew head. At this point the unit is plugged in and the heater is turned on (CWTF's have a toggle switch behind the machine). Brewer will pre-heat the water (there may be some water discharge from brew head as the water expands). Ready light will come on in about 15 mins.
* To Brew; Place coffee grounds in filter, place in funnel and brew head, clean empty decanter under funnel, slowly pour one full decanter of water (cold or hot) into brew tray. Do not overflow tray. Allow water level to sink before adding more water. Only fill with one pot as an equal amount will come out the brew head and funnel.
* FYI Coffee grounds are usually in pre-measured packets for office use. A simple guide is one tablespoon per cup. (level or heaping spoon is up to you)
* Final; Getting back to unplugging when not in use. Yes there is a heater in the machine that keeps the tank warm. You can save power by turning off the warmer plates when not in use. Some units have up to 6 plates. The warmer "Blanket" is designed to keep the tank warm enough to brew and not waste heat or electricity. Yes unplug the unit at night if there is no night crew drinking coffee (or tea) But follow the Pre-heat instructions mentioned above prior to plugging the brewer back in. If the tank has been emptied at night or dried up after an idle week. Then there is a chance you may over heat and blow the thermal fuse. Or at best have a half pot short brew as the water dried up.
* Note leaving the brewer plugged in without brewing daily is not a good idea. The water evaporates and eventually drys out the pot. Takes about 1-2 weeks but it does blow the fuse(s) and the unit will need service.
* Final; Follow the Bunn set up and care instructions (manuals from Bunn.com for down loading. (*FREE*)

Water fills washer even when it is unplugged

Replace fill valve. It is located where the water hooks up to washer. Easy to change. The valve gets plugged with sediment and needs to be replaced.

Matag top load washer model # LAT9604AAE filled but no agitation

If just getting the water out is your main goal, this can be accomplished using a shop vacuum.
Be sure to unplug the power cord before attempting any repair! Another way to drain a machine is to use a bucket. Put the discharge end of the drain hose from the washer into the bucket, making sure the hose end is higher than the level of the water in the washer, and slowly lower the hose and bucket until the water flows into the bucket. Raise the bucket and hose end back up above the level in the machine tub to stop the flow. Repeat until the machine is empty.
Give the machine a try after removing some of the water as you may have tripped a limit switch and the unit may just be overfilled
