Question about Heating & Cooling
If you continue to operate your AC with the drain 'closed up' it will eventually :"run over" and probally into the house.
The drain hole should be open so your 'condensate water' can drain to an outside location.
Water is very bad for AC compressors - your service tech doesn't have a clue as to what he's talking about.
