Question about Samsung DV219AG Dryer
It sounds like a faulty timer board. As first thing check lint filter and replace the thermal fuse.
The timer control board is expensive and control board failure are difficult to diagnose.
For this reason the timer board is replaced only after testing all other parts.
In your case, since the failure happens at random times, and the cycle iterrupts leaving only basic functions, concentrate the testing on the door switch and on wiring harness/connectors to the electronic control board.
The door switch can be tested jumping its contacts.
Wiring harness and connectors are tested reading Ohms between two points to ensure that there is continity.
This operation must be done with power not connected.
If there is no problem concerning the wiring, door lock and timer, test quickly the heath group , motor, and rest of the wiring to ensure that the problem is not given by a contact that get lost at random times, then proceed in replacing the timer board.
