Yours is most likely a 'Clip On' type which you lever off.
Most watches use one of three methods to access the battery. 'Clip on' back cover, 'Twist Off' back plate and a 'Screw Down' back cover.
'Clip On' back covers are usually smooth ands round with no notches or holes. They are levered off using a blade style lever. Some watches even have small grooves or a small lip sticking out to lever against. Most common watches tend to use this style.
'Twist Off' covers usually have evenly spaced notches or round dimples around the edge of the cover to mount a special tool to unscrew the entire cover plate like a bolt head. Some higher priced watches use this system.
'Screw Down' cover are the easiest to spot. They are usually more square in shape and held down by four tiny screws, one in each corner. They appear most often on 'Sport' watches.
Watch backs are usually either push-fit and simply need to be levered off, or are twist-fit and need to be rotated off. If there are a number of indentations around the rim of the back then it is likely to twist off. You need to get a suitable tool or tools to remove the cover or you will damage the back of the watch. Check on amazon or ebay for watch repair tools. Getting the cover back on is usually harder with push-fit and is more likely to lead to damage without the correct tools.
Or take it to a watch shop and they will replace the battery for you!
Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs..
mcdevito75 here, Most Lorus watches use a press fit back cover on their watches, simply us e a knife with a sharp edge between the case and cover and with a slight twisting motion the cover should come off, Also Look for any slots in the cover that match a slot in the case, or a very slight extension or lip on the cover, this is where you"d place the knife and use a slight twisting motion to remove the cover. If there are screws on the back cover you"ll need to remove those screws to get the cover off. Your Local small watch repair shop can help out.
You probably need to "short out" the battery before you can set it.
To do this you need to remove the caseback and apply a tweezers to the battery and the "AC".
The AC is usually labeled and it looks like a little gold cricle near the battery in the watch. (I realize there may be more than one gold colored small circle in there, and if it's not labeled it will take trial and error.)
With the tweezers, or paperclip would work, touch the AC and the battery at the same time and hold for a few seconds, then release and repeat once more. This should get your watch reset and ready for you to set.
you need CR2032 lithium batteries. They can be found on amazon (pretty cheap). here Finally charging for our multi device world
