Regardless of what level I set the water to be on( small, large, ect), the water never stops running. It will continue to run, overflowing unless I stop it. I tried resetting the load size, still does the same..

2 possibilities.1. The water level is set higher the the overflow tube. This will cause the water to run into the overflow continuously. You should be able to see this. 2. The large seal - bottom center of the tank - is leaking. This will cause the water level to slowly drop after a fill. The water tank will start to run again after flushing - BUT NOT CONTINUOUSLY. You should see if there is a small amount of water flowing from the rim to the bowl 15 seconds after the water has stopped running after a flush.
1) the water inlet valve that the hoses from the house plumbing attach to is sticking open,when it sticks it will stick open regardless if thier is power to the machine or not,so to determine if that is the problem,start the washer and quickly unplug it,if the water continues to fill, that valve is sticking
2) the water level switch is defective,do the same as far as starting it,if the fill stops when power disconected it's the water level switch that is in need of replacement

well the part that tells the water to stop running in is the pressure switch if the water valve is working properly so disconnect the power and if the water continues to run in it is the water valve just replace it
No it will not keep filling when it is unplugged.
The problem is probably due to a sticking water level switch, or a partial blockage in the water level sensing system. \you will probably need to call an engineer.
Washer Basics: Filling with water: The water fill valve - The water fill valve is a mechanical and electrical part, the coils on the valve need electricity to mechanically open the valve to allow the water to flow into the washer....myth....the washer pumps water into itself...no, it does not. The fill valve opens and the house water pressure pushes the water into the washing machine. No cold water or no hot water - The fill valve has two coils, one for the hot water and one for the cold water. It is possible that one of the coils can fail and you loose that filling ability. If the cold water coil quits, the hot will still work and during warm fill you will get hot water only and during a cold fill you will get no water at all. If the hot coils quits, you will still have cold water fill, cold water only on a warm setting and no water on a hot fill setting. If you have to shut off the fill valves to stop the water from filling in the washer, you have a bad fill valve and you will have to replace it.

The water level control is responsible to shut off the power to the fill valve and direct that power to the timer so the washing machine can start up. The WLC has electrical contacts in it that sends power to the fill valve and when the WLC is satisfied the water level is correct the electrical contacts open power to the fill valve and send the power to the timer and the washer starts. As the water fills the outer tank air is pushed up the hose, depending on which setting you have made ( small- medium - large ) is takes a certain amount of this pressure to make the WLC cycle over and shut off the water and send this power to the timer. If this hose develops a leak or a pin hole the washer can over fill as the WLC may not be able to shut the water off. The water level control can also break down and allow the washer to over fill as well. Hello. Yes there is a fill level pressure switch. It is pressure activated by the pressure of water rising in a tube as the water rises in the tub.It's easy to find and easy to replace. It sounds like you are trying to use the largest water level setting. If this is correct you may have a pressure switch problem.
First turn the timer to spin and get all of the water out, that start a washer cycle with the water level set to the small or low setting and see if the washer fills to this level. if it stops at the low level great Now if it continues to fill and does stop you may need a pressure switch or the hose needs to be replaced that runs from the tub to the pressure switch.
Now set at the medium level and try again. does it stop or over fill?
If it over fills you probably need a pressure switch however before you purchase this, make sure the hose is in good condition one pin hole will cause your overfill condition.
