Question about Washing Machines
Depends on how you stop the filling process. If you have to shut the water at the supply by hand, then it is a defective dual water water valve and needs to be replaced.
If you can shut the water off by turning the machine off, then it is either the water fill switch or the plastic hose that connects the fill switch to the bottom of the tub.
The plastic hose could have come off, is cracked and leaking or the fitting on the bottom of the tub is plugged up.
If it seems to be the last item. Fill the tub partially, remove the hose from the fill switch, and blow into it to test to see if it is clear.
If it is O.K. you will hear a gurgling sound coming from the tub.
