Question about Planar PT1814NUV 18.1 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor
I have a Planar PT1814NUV monitor that powers up, but displays wide (about 1") vertical bands. They are white & magenta, alternating like prison garb (only vertical) superimposed over the monitor controls window.
Any idea what's wrong with it and if/how it can be repaired?
That is the symptom of failed T-CON board (part of the LCD panel assembly, new panel will be needed), you can try reseating the ribbon connector on the LCD panel first.
