Only printer giving "anti curl motor" is the Alps MD series. This printer is not common, it has been commercialised only in small quantity and Alps does not offer any support online. Alps printer are Micro Dry
thermal resin printer(they work in dry or dye
sublimation mode), and they work in a different way from other photografic printers.

In the meanwhile inspect the inside of the printer and search carefully for foreign ogjects (eg.paper). They can cause error above. also unplug printer power cable from power outlet for few minutes. This will reset the printer .

Set Envelopes Correctly Before setting envelopes, press down on all four corners and edges of the envelopes to remove curls and bends, as well as any air contained.

i80_envelopes_1.gif
Note: The flap of the envelope should be straightened if bent. If the envelope is curled, hold the opposite corners and gently bend them in the opposite direction. If the leading edge of the envelope is puffed or curled up, use a pen, etc. to press the envelope flat and sharpen the crease. (Press the envelope completely flat, working from the middle to the edge.)

i80_envelopes_2.gif How to set envelopes:
  1. Set envelopes to the right side of the sheet feeder. Set envelopes with their longer side vertically and the flap either at the bottom or on the left.

  2. Pinch and slide the paper guide until it firmly resets against the left side of the stacked envelopes.

Note: The maximum number of envelopes that can be loaded is five.

WILL FEED PLAIN WHITE PAPER BUT WILL NOT FEED PHOTO PAPER

Follow the steps:
•1
Turn on the printer and press the Paper Feed switch until the Auto Sheet Feeder indicator light turns on.
•2
Pull up on the paper sheet feeder on the top and back of the printer and slide out the paper support.
•3
Take a stack of no more than 10 pieces of photo paper and flatten the corners, if they are curled. Curled corners may cause jams within the printer.
•4
Place the paper in the paper sheet feeder with the printable side of the paper facing up. The printable side of photo paper is the shiny or whiter side of the paper.
•5
Print your documents as needed.

Paper Cassette :

•1
Switch on the printer and press the Paper Feed switch until the Cassette indicator light turns on.
•2
Pull on the cassette on the bottom of the printer to slide it out of the printer.
•3
Flatten the corners of a stack of no more than 10 sheets of photo paper if the corners are curled. The paper may become jammed in the printer if the corners are curled.
•4
Place the stack of paper in the cassette so the paper is touching the right side and the printing side of the paper is facing down. Adjust the plastic paper guides so they touch the paper. The paper stack guides help facilitate the paper moving into the printer.
•5
Slide the cassette back into the bottom of the printer. The printer is ready for printing.

My Ip90 won't feed paper when I try to print a job.

Hi there,
If the paper does not feed properly it could be due to the follwong causes.

Cause 1 : Inappropriate paper type used
Action : * Check to see if the paper you are printing on is too thick or curled.
* Check if the paper exceeds the load limit mark, if it exceeds, load less paper.

Cause 2 : Paper Feed Roller is dirty.
Action : Follow the steps described below to clean the Paper Feed Rollers.
If envelopes or post cards do not feed properly, even after correctly any paper curl, clean the Paper Feed Roller.
1) Ensure that the printer is turned on and there is no paper loaded in the printer.
2) Hold the RESUME/CANCEL button down and release after the POWER lamp flashed there three times.
The paper roller rotates as it cleans.
3) Repeat this cleaning operation one more time.
4) Load a sheet of plain paper in the printer.
5) Hold the RESUME/CANCEL button down and release after the POWER lamp flashes three times, then feed a sheet of paper.

Cause 3 : Paper jams.
Action : Remove the paper according to the following procedure.
1) Slowly pull the paper out, either from the Auto Sheet Feeder or from the Output Slot Cover, whichever is easier.
* If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the printer, open the Print Head Cover and remove it.
Caution: Be careful not to touch any components inside the printer.
* If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the printer off and turn it on again.
The paper will be ejected automatically.
2) Reload the paper into the printer and press the RESUME/ CANCEL button.
If you cannot remove the paper or if the paper tears inside the printer or if the Paper Jam error continues after removing the paper, contact the Customer care center.

Hope this helps.
Please rate my response.
Thanks
Have a good day.

Paper won't feed

Inside of the machine is dirty.
If the inside of the machine is dirty, the printed paper may be smudged.
Follow the steps described below to clean the inside of the machine.
1. Ensure that the machine is turned on and there is no paper loaded in the Auto Sheet Feeder.
2. Place A4/Letter-sized plain paper in landscape orientation, horizontally fold it in half.
3. Unfold the paper, and load the paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder with the inverted-V edge down.

4. Select <Bottom plate cleaning> from <Maintenance>.
5. Select <Yes> on the Bottom plate cleaning confirmation screen and then press [OK].
Paper will be ejected.
If protrusions inside the machine are stained, wipe ink off the protrusions using a swab or such like.
* Important
Before cleaning, be sure to turn OFF the machine.
Paper feed roller is dirty.
Follow the steps described below to clean the paper feed rollers.
1. Ensure that the machine is turned ON and there is no paper loaded in the machine.
2. Select <Roller cleaning> from <Maintenance>.
3. Select <Yes> on the Roller cleaning confirmation screen and then press [OK].
The paper feed roller will rotate as it cleans.
4. Repeat this operation twice.
5. Load three or more sheets of A4/Letter-sized plain paper lengthways in the Auto Sheet Feeder.
6. Select <Roller cleaning> from <Maintenance>.
7. Select <Yes> on the Roller cleaning confirmation screen and then press [OK].
The paper that is loaded in the machine will feed through the machine and be ejected.
8. Repeat Steps 5 to 7 three times.
Inappropriate paper type is used.
Check to see if the paper you are printing on is too thick. See Paper Types You Cannot Use.
Note that smudging may occur at the top and bottom edges of the paper when using Borderless Printing. Ensure that the paper you are using is compatible with Borderless Printing.
Thick paper is used.
When printing on thick paper, set the Paper Thickness Lever to the right.
This widens the gap between the FINE Cartridge and the paper. Try this maneuver if the printed surface is scratched.
Media is curled.
If all four corners or the printing surface of the paper is curled, the paper may become dirty or may not feed properly. Use the paper after correcting paper curl as follows.
1. Place the printing surface face up (A), and cover it with a sheet of non-printing regular paper to avoid damaging the surface.
2. Roll up the paper in the direction opposite to the paper curl as per the figure below.
3. Check the printing paper to confirm if the paper curl is eliminated to within approximately 2 to 5mm / 0.08 to 0.2 in (B).
It is recommended to print on curl-corrected paper one sheet at a time.
The media type is not selected correctly in the printer driver.
On the [Main] tab of the printer driver, ensure that the [Media Type] selected matches the paper loaded.

In the [Print] dialog box of the printer driver, select [Quality & Media] from the pop-up menu, and then ensure that the [Media Type] selected matches the paper loaded.
Paper is loaded incorrectly.
Load in the portrait orientation regardless of the print direction of the Auto Sheet Feeder.
Ensure that paper is loaded correctly. Slide the paper guides against the paper stack.

Paper is not coming through printer and it comes out curled up

Please make sure that any rollers near the exit tray are clean and gripping the paper. The same is true for any paper feed rollers under the cartridge.

When I print on my Canon MP730, it always prints out a blank page after every print job. How can I fix this?

SOLUTION(S): Reset the Sheet Feeder Gears
If the power fails while the paper is feeding or during a print job, the paper feed gears will lose their proper
alignment. The reason is that after the power is restored the paper feed gears will attempt to return to the
home position, which may not be possible if the paper stop cam is not in the correct position.
PROCEDURES
1. Remove the sheet feeder from the unit.
2. Remove the sheet feeder motor from the sheet feeder assembly.
3. Remove the drive gear from its spindle.
4. Realign the lifting tray gear and paper stop cam gear.
5. Reinstall the drive gear and sheet feeder motor.
6. Reattach the sheet feeder to the print unit.
7. Reassemble the unit.

Paper jam error after last page prints

Hi Natoli3,
This could be a mis-match of paper sizes. Example, computer could be sending an A4 page to the printer. The paper size in the could be set to Letter. Ensure the 4 paper sizes match, in the computer - the document and printer driver; in the printer (change in control panel) and paper tray (adjust the physical side and length).

Paper curl

When a paper jam occurs, the printer will stop printing and the Continue (1) and Paper Jam (2) lights on the operator panel will come on. See the illustration below.
pattlnk_1052005_1635-enus20238_oppaneljamlights_e230_en_us.gif When you experience a paper jam, it is recommended that you check and clear the entire paper path. To clear a paper jam, do the following:
  1. If you are feeding paper from a paper tray, first remove the tray. Look for and remove any jammed or damaged paper you find.

    pattlnk_1052005_1636-enus20238_removepaperjam_e230_en_us.gif
  2. Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

    IMPORTANT!
Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light, especially sunlight, for an extended period of time. Extended exposure to light will damage the green photoconductor roller and cause print quality problems.

    pattlnk_1052005_1639-enus20238_removecartridge_e230_en_us.gif
  3. Remove any paper you find jammed in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

    pattlnk_1052005_1645-enus20238_removepaperjam2_e230_en_us.gif
  4. Also lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any paper you find jammed beneath the flap.

    pattlnk_1052005_1646-enus20238_removepaperjam3_e230_en_us.gif
  5. Open the rear exit door/cover of the printer and remove any jammed paper you find there.

    pattlnk_1052005_1647-enus20238_removepaperjamrear_e230_en_us.gif
  6. Once you have confirmed that the entire paper path is clear, reinstall the print cartridge assembly. Close all the printer covers/doors. Reinstall any paper trays you removed.
  7. Press the Continue button to resume printing. NOTE: The printer should reprint the page(s) that caused the paper jam.
  8. If the paper continues to jam, press the Continue button twice quickly while the Continue and Paper Jam lights are on. This will cause the operator panel to display the secondary error paper jam light sequence. The secondary error code will tell you where the printer thinks the problem has arisen. For more information, see the 'Secondary Error Codes' section on page 69 of the User's Guide.

Issue An 'Out of paper' error message displays on the computer and the product does not pick up or feed paper from the main paper tray. Solution Complete the following steps in the order provided to solve this problem. Step one: Reset the product
  1. While the printer is on, remove the power cord from the back of the printer, wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
  2. If the printer is not already on, turn it on by pushing the power button.
  3. Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, continue to the next section.
Step two: Check the condition of the paper and reload it
  1. Replace any ripped, dusty, wrinkled, or bent paper. If the paper is curled, uncurl it by gently bending it in the opposite direction of the curl or replace the paper. NOTE: Use plain paper in the printer until the issue is resolved.
  2. Make sure that all the paper is the same size and type.
  3. Tap the stack of paper on a flat surface to align the edges.
  4. Load 10 to 25 sheets of paper in the paper tray. NOTE: Do not load too much paper in the printer.
  5. Insert the stack of paper in the paper tray, and then gently push the paper guides snugly against the paper.
  6. Make sure that the paper is pushed all the way into the printer. Use the rear paper guide or your finger to push the paper in until you feel a firm resistance. If the paper is not pushed all the way in, the printer will not be able to pick up the paper. If it is pushed in too far, the printer will pick up multiple sheets of paper, which can result in a paper jam.
  7. Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, continue to the next section.
Step three: Adjust the paper settings in the print driver
  1. Adjust the paper settings in the print driver. The paper settings in the print driver must match the paper settings for at least one of the installed paper trays.
    1. Open a document in the application in which it was created.
    2. Click File .
    3. Click Print .
    4. Click Properties . The Print Properties dialog box appears.
    5. Click the Paper/Quality tab.
    6. In the Size Is drop-down menu, select the paper size that is loaded in the printer.
    7. In the Type Is drop-down menu, select the type of paper loaded in the printer.
    8. Click OK . NOTE: These changes do not change the default print settings in the application. The print setting will revert to the default print settings the next time you open the application.
  2. On the Print dialog box, click OK to print the document.
  3. Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, continue to next step.
NOTE: If the issue is resolved and you want to print on another type of paper, change the paper in the printer and repeat Step 2 and Step 3 . Step four: Clean the rollers
  1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  2. Open the access door to gain access to the rollers. Depending on the model, this is usually the rear access door. Refer to the product User Guide for information on locating the rollers.
  3. Clean the rubber rollers with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water. NOTE: Purified or distilled water is recommended for cleaning the rollers.
  4. Close the access door and plug the power cord in.
  5. Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, continue to the next step.
Step five: Service the product If you have completed all of the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product. Cause Any of the following problems may cause the error message to appear:
  • The paper trays are empty or overloaded.
  • The paper is curled.
  • The paper-width guide is pressed against the paper stack too tightly.
  • The paper tray is not completely inserted into the printer.
  • The paper settings in the print driver do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.
  • The rear rubber paper feed rollers are coated with dust.
