How to fix the Error: "Set the Fusing Unit correctly"
Ricoh Aficio SP C411DN & C410DN Color Laser Printers
Instructions:
1. There is a short Wire Jumper (color: black or white) on the inside of the main electrical connector of the Fuser Unit.
Note: These procedures can be done without removing the outer plastic housing of the Fuser Unit.
2. Press the side clip (or tab) and first pull the tab end of the large connector plug from the main housing of the Fuser Unit.
Warning: The connector plug wires are very short -- it extends a maximum of about 1 inch (or 2 cm) from the main housing of the Fuser Unit.
3. Use a small screwdriver and gently remove the small white connector that the Wire Jumper is plugged into.
Warning: Try to remember the correct orientation that this small connector is plug-in.
4. Use a small screwdriver (or a small flat blade) and gently raise the small tabs on the front of the small connector, while pulling gently on each end of the Wire Jumper.
Warning: Do not remove Wire Jumper forcefully by pulling.
5. Make sure that this Wire Jumper is plugged into the same pins as the one on the old Fuser Unit that is being replaced. There are only three pins that the jumper can plug into.
6. Reassembly the Fuser Unit by plugging in the two connector that were removed.
7. Replace the Fuser Unit into the Ricoh printer and secure properly.
8. Power on the printer -- it should start-up and go to the ready state without any errors.
9. The END.

Fusing unit is not set properly

This is a common problem on older ricoh with high counts the unit has a connector at the back to receive the fusing unit the connector on the fuser may have bee bent out of position and is therefore not contacting the unit correctly check the fuser connector is not damaged. also if there have beed jams sometimes paper can get stuck in the contactors also check in the receiving contact that the unit is not knocked out of place.

Problem replacing fusing unit for a Ricoh Aficio SP C411DN

Look in your owners manual for the set of reset keys you ppuch to reset the error in the machine. Can't tell you much other than it is a sequence like holding POWER button and 1 or 2 other keys for so many seconds. Have you tried to ask the question at their website?
