If you are using coaxial cable, a RG59U series cable will allow you about 700 feet or so before the picture starts degrading. RG11U, which has a larger center core, will get about 1000 feet. If you want or need to go further then try hooking up an electric powered signal booster about mid-way of your cable run. If your camera uses a pre-fabricated cable (about the size of a telephone wire) with connectors already installed you will most likely have a much more limited range as these cables are not shielded as well and tend to have greater line loss.

Tv cannot find my wireless network. Have been on the phone all day with Comcast and RCA. Ready to return. Any info would be helpful

Hard wire connect your t.v. to your router and set the t.v. up that way first. After you have the t.v. connected that way, then disconnect from the hard wire and set up t.v. for wireless.
You will need a cat5/ethernet cable to hard wire your t.v. to the router. The length of the cable required will be how far away your t.v. is from the router. You can always move your T.V. close to the router , but that is not always easy to do.

Surges -- How to keep them from damaging your electronic devices.

Surges give me more than half of my repair jobs,so [1] it is best to simply unplug ALL of your best devices when you expect to be away for awhile, and [2] your purchase of a surge limiter will cost you less than $30 on the net, or less than $40 at Walmart or Lowes, or Home Depot, and be sure to buy a 6' length of coaxial cable at the same time unless you have one hanging around. [They are right now probably in a closet among a whole bunch of stuff that's just barely too valuable to throw away -- stuff that your sweetie has threatened to chuck any minute now.]

Your surge limiter must be rated at 3000 joules or more, and must have at least two shiny threaded 3/8th inch projections on it to accommodate coaxial cables. The limiters are easy to hook up, but you can email to me for freebie coaching if you need to. I am at GrampsCanHelp@gmail.com

Lightning will jump limiters sometimes, and they get tired after 3 or 4 years so must be replaced, but thereafter they remain valuable as power strips. They are far far from being perfectly protective because fragments of lightning strikes jump them and damage them, but they are the best devices that low cost technology has been able to bring to us to date.

[A 'back-up' power supply containing a battery and isolation transformer will be more protective but costs 3 to 6 times as much. You may wish to get more details about them from me, but they should only be considered for VERY expensive or very precious devices.]

Hope this helps.

How far away can I move the sound bar from the tv

The only thing that limits your location for the sound bar is the length of optical cable you have for it.

What is the largest size photograph and longest distance the GE X550-BK 16 megapixels digital camera 15x optical 6x Digital can take a photograph

The largest size is 16 mega pixel. But they used to say it only could print up to a certain size. But in programs like Adobe Photosho, after you edited the image you can set the size. Then the program, will render the image to that size. Within limits off course. Don't try to make a 30 ft or 10 meter picture from a 1 mega pixel picture. I have printed A0 pictures from a 16 mega pixel camera and they look great.
The longest distance is as far as the camera can look. Most of the time our atmosphere is limiting the distance. And zooming in to the max, can give blurred pictures when you use a low shutter speed. Don't use the digital soon, because it is the same as cropping in Photoshop. When you did not use the digital zoom, you can reframe the picture and choose a better cut later. When you want to start photographing, this bridge camera could be great to start, but perhaps you also consider buying a cheap DSLR, or a mirror less system camera, because the bigger sensors in these cameras give better pictures when you have not the optimal light. When you want to use the full length of the lens, stay with this camera, because long lenses on a DSLR or system camera cost a fortune.

At 300mm focal length at a distance of 200 yards away what F stop will give me edge to edge sharpness in my photos?

The edge-to-edge sharpness of your lens is a function of the optical design much more than f-stop. What I would be more concerned with is depth of field. The important consideration is what the closest and farthest point you want to be in focus. Here are some figures that might help. For a 300mm lens focused at 200 yards (600 feet), mathematical calculations yield the following (0.03 mm circle of confusion in all cases):

f/22
Near limit = 256' 3", far limit = infinity, total depth = infinity, hyperfocal distance = 447' 5"
F/16
Near limit = 303' 9", far limit = 24,350' 8", total depth = 24,046' 11", hyperfocal distance = 615' 2"
f/11
Near limit = 359' 2", far limit = 1,821' 3", total depth = 1,462' 1", hyperfocal distance = 894' 9"
f/8
Near limit = 403' 4", far limit = 1,172' 2", total depth = 767' 10", hyperfocal distance = 1,230' 4"
f/5.6
Near limit = 447' 4", far limit = 910' 12", total depth = 463' 8", hyperfocal distance = 1,757' 7"

No matter the size of the chip 4GB or 16GB...I only get 10 minutes of recording time

What make and model camera? Ten minutes total recording time or ten minutes per clip?

There are two possible reasons why the clip length may be limited.

1) Some cameras limit the file size of any one video clip. Try reducing the resolution and see whether you can record longer.

2) In some parts of the world video cameras are taxed at a higher rate than still cameras. By limiting the length of a video clip, it's possible to avoid having a camera classified as a video camera.

For further details and limits, see your manual. If you require further assistance, please add a comment to this question and specify the make and model of your camera.

I have a Malibu ML300RTW transformer with a 50 ft. length of 16 guage cable supporting (4) 20w lights. Can I splice on another 100' of cable and add 4 more 20w lights or is there a cable length limitation?

Usually 50 - 75 ft. is as far as you want to go, especially with 16 gauge wire. What happens is the lights get dimmer as the length of the run increases. If you don't mind the lights getting noticeably dimmer, go ahead and add the other 4 lights. Using a heavier (12 gauge) wire will help a lot. You'll want the 12 ga. to start at the transformer, preferably running the whole length. Also, using a smaller watt bulb will help.

If you have a 120 volt outlet near the approximate middle of the new (total 150 ft.) run, you could relocate the transformer to that location and have two 75 ft. runs in 2 directions.

RCA VHS-C screen for sculpture

The resistance of hte wire is not the major problem. While it will degrade the signal somewhat, the main problem will be outside interference. You would be better off trying to hide the camera closer to where the screen must reside and usinga ribbon cable only a few inches longer. You will need to find a service manual for that model to get the pinout of the cable.

Good luck.
