Question about Audio & Video Receivers

1 Answer

I purchased a Philips portable CD player a few years ago. It has never worked consistently from day to day. I have tried EVERYTHING I know to do. When I switch it on, it blinks "1" with dotted lines underneath the "1". Sometimes the CD will start playing, but the majority of the time, it will show "NO DISC" or "NF DISC", and then shut itself off. (Yes, I do have a CD in there). I am ready to fling this player out of the window!!!!!!!!!!

Hope that helps...

Hi,

From the sysmptoms presented it seems that the main circuit board in your kenwood needs replacement . This happens sometimes due to extensive usage and power surge. I am unable to know your location. Hence sending the entire list of all contries contact number for Kenwood. Only they can replace the authentic main board.

Kenwood KDC-MP832U display not working

I had this problem! It was the Cars Battery. Kenwoods unit's fade or go completely blank when there is little power to power the stereo. Try charging your battery or grabing a new one from a scrappy! I was all over the net looking for help but finally sorted it!

P.S. My younger brother had to do the exact thing and it worked for him as well!!!

Distortion/noise and buzz in front left speaker

Try to see if the reciever will make the buzzing/noise without anything connected to it except power, and speakers. Tune into a local radio station and see if the noise continues. If the noise has stopped, then you know there is an issue with the player or cable.

Sudden failure to power up

I've had this happen a number of times with my receiver. This trick from the Troubleshooting guide in the owner's manual usually does the trick: To reset If an unusual condition in the display window or malfunction occurs, reset the unit as follows. 1 Press the POWER button to turn off the power. 2 Press the POWER button while pressing the ENTER button. Everything stored in memory after purchase is canceled. If the power cannot be turned off in step 1 because of a malfunction, reset by disconnecting the AC cord and carry out step 2.
