Question about Lite On LVC-9016G DVD Recorder/VCR
I am not a tech person. How do you upgrade the firmware? and why is this necessary?
Will this fix my problem of finalized dvd's not playing on other players?
You can download the firmware and burn it to a CD, not a DVD. I don't know what burning software you are using put with Nero you would choose to burn it as an ISO, This is standardized way of burning identical images of CD/DVD. You should be able to then put the burned CD with the updated firmware into the unit and it should automatically update. You can watch the TV screen and see if it prompts you for any info but I do not believe that it will. Good Luck.
