Hi kingkumarae, Due to viruses , the drive cannot be formatted in many cases, however if you want to format it ,
I would recommend that you restart your computer and plug in the pen drive and then do not autorun it.
When you do that , you can right click on the drive that you find in my computer and then rightly click on select format option, and then you can format your drive.
If this does not work in your computer you can possibly try it in your laptop using the same procedure.
I think its not the problem of pen drive its some virus or malware in your computer. Please try formatting the pen drives in safe mode. If this doesn't work here is the full address of service centre in Bhopal:
re-STORE (A Unit of Aforeserve.com Ltd)
C/O logic technologies 2nd floor
shikhar tower 6 number bus stop sivaji nagar
Bhopal 462003
All you need to do is to format the Pen Drive.
Open My computer.
Right Click on Pen drive.
Then click on Format. You will get different options like quick format or such.
Select the option that says complete format.
Once you format the drive you will be able to use it.
These are actually ccore flash drives, shipped with the name "Kingston". YOU CAN FORMAT ANY ZIP DRIVE WITH "HP USB DISK STORAGE FORMAT TOOL". Trust me, it really does the needful. I had the same problem earlier =)
do you still have warranty for the Pen drive, suggest you take it to the shop you bought it. you seem to have got a defective ped drive. also if you have the serial numbers, check online with Kingston to see if you have got a genuine kingston product.
