Question about Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

02 error code

I think by default your directions worked. I couldn't get the front panel off, but could the back panel. I figured the black hose thing was the part which required cleaning out...which it did. I didn't think coins and hair clips could get that far.
Is it possible that you can provide pictures of what you are describing? I looked and compared clips inside the washer to that of my car radiator clips. It's a blonde thing.
Thanks for the help. You saved us lots of money.

i have the same issue with my Kenmore Elite front loading washer. Mdl # 110-42926200. I am almost certian that it is a clog in the fliter or drain hose, but i have no idea how to get in there to check it. I tried taking the screws off the front part, but the panel would not budge. I am going to assume i ned to go at it from the rear. I will give it a try, but any advice would be VERY appreciated. A single mom of four kids needs all the advice she can get! LOL...

Frigidaire front load washer code error E20

Hi, this error is caused by a clogged drain filter located under the drum assembly.

If your machine is stuck on the drain sequence or you read error code E20, the filter basket is probably clogged:
You will need a pair of slip-joint pliers and a Phillips head screwdriver.
Before beginning any work, make sure to unplug the machine from the electrical outlet.
**Note: It may be easier to perform this task with the washer lying on its side; therefore it may be necessary to disconnect the water lines from the machine.
1: Take off the front kick plate (two screws at the bottom of the machine).
3: There is a black accordion hose with two clamps.
2: Have a towel ready to catch the water that leaks.
4: Remove the clamps at each end to access the filter basket.
5: Stick your hand inside the hose and remove the plastic filter basket (it will probably be clogged with hair, lint, fabric).
6: Thoroughly clean the filter basket and remove all debris from the inside of the black accordion hose.
7: Replace the filter basket.
8: Reattach the black accordion hose at both ends.
9: Secure the clamps at each end of the hose.
10: Wipe up any water that may have spilled inside the machine.
11: Reattach the front kick plate with the two screws removed earlier.
12: Reconnect all hoses before plugging in the machine to the electrical outlet.

Thank you.

Error code fh on maytag front loader MFW9700SQ0 have checked flow value!, pressure valve, cleaned internal filter and keeps setting code

i figured it out with my washing machine, take off the top lid (7mm 3 screws in the back) there is a black and burgundy sensor on the top left side, take off the black hose, turn the sensor clock wise 1/4 turn, lift out and blow into the part where the hose was connected to, (I did this while it was running to test it) sure enough it started draining... (its a pressure sensor i guess) and it still works so i took off the back of the washing machine and found that the black hose had a split in it. i had a compressing coupling so i cut out the bad part of the hose and coupled it back together now it works :)
p.s. the hose is about a 1/4 inch line and i think its surgical hose, and wash it out mine was filled with junk... hope it helps

Hello My Maytag black front loader washer is displaying an error code of F02. Do you know a fix for this error code? Thank you

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F02 is a drain error in your washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

F 02 error on kenmore smartwash quietpak 9 front loader washer

F02 - Long Drain

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Most commonly, the drain pump reservoir needs to be checked and cleaned. The access screws are on the bottom front edge of the lower toe panel directly below the door. You may need to prop up the two front feet of the washer to access them (a 2x4 works well for this). The following link explains: checking_the_drain_pump_on_a_front_loade

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display:
Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

On l-56 stove an error code EE 8. what is this and can it be repaired?

The blower motor is not working properly. Turn the stove off and remove the front cover. Remove the lower baffle in the front. Remove the black hose that is about 1 1/2" in dia. If it breaks don't be surprised. Stick a pencil in the hole and spin the fan. Keep trying until it spins freely. If it spins freely from the start the motor is burned. Put the black hose back on and try to start. IF the hose broke you will need a new one. For now put some electrical tape around the break to get you going.

Keep us posted.

I have an F 02 error on my Kenmore elite. The

Accessing the Drain Pump on Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet Front Load Washers
  1. Safety first. Unplug the machine.
  2. Put a blanket over the top rear edge of the machine to cushion it and lean it against the wall.
  3. There are three screws located right at the bottom front edge of the machine securing the toe panel. Remove the screws and the toe panel will fall off.
  4. Open the door covering the wiring harness connector and disconnect the wiring harness from the terminals of the pump motor.
  5. Remove the screw securing the pump assembly to the frame of the machine.
  6. Remove the drain hose and tub outlet hose from the drain pump assembly.
  7. Put a small pan or bucket under the pump and turn the large knob counterclockwise to remove and clean the large item filter.
  8. Unscrew the drain pump from the pump housing and check the impeller for any obstruction or damage.
  9. Replace the drain pump if the impeller is damaged or if no obstruction is found in the drain hose, tub outlet hose, and the large item filter.
  10. Install the new drain pump in reverse of the removal steps above.

Getting an F 02 error code with my Kenmore Elite HE 3T

Your filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and other stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 screws. The panel will drop and come off. The filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels and unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in.

Bosh error code E02

Hi. I had the same problem with my Bosch washing machine and called Bosch...was told the same thing...$99.00 for service call. I managed to fix my problem by doing the following:
  • Removed hot & cold water supply hoses.
  • Took filter screens out of both hoses.
  • Removed filter from cold inlet on back of washing machine. I noticed some oily buildup on both of the cold screens so opted to not put any of them back in.
  • Then I put hot & cold water supplies back on the wall hookup, but crossed the lines where they came into the back of the machine intentionally so that the hot water line fed into the cold side of the washing machine and vice versa.
  • Then I ran a couple loads on "cold" which was actually hot water coming in to the machine.
The reason I did this was that I figured there must be some more waxy buildup inside the machine in the cold lines and hoped the hot water would melt it like when you rinse a greasy pan under hot water. IT WORKED!!! I hope this helps you.

HE4t Elite F02 error code

its the error code for a long drain time most likely you need to check the filter in your pump for obstructions First if you have a wet vac pull the drain hose out of the drain spout and use the vac to pull the water out of the washer through the drain hose.If not you will need a pair of radiator hose clamps from the auto parts store. Pull the screws from the lower panel at the front of the washer and remove side you will see a rubber hose coming down from the tub to the drain pump. Put the radiator hose clamp there if you didn't have a shop vac.On the front of the pump is a round part with a handle turn that and remove the pump filter .Clean any foreign objects out of the pump and look inside the pump to make sure no impeller blades are broken if any are you will have to replace the pump. put the filter back in and tighten it. If you had to use the hose clamp remove it now.reassemble and don't forget to give the tech his four boxes if this fixes it
