There is a rest hole on the back, with router off push a straightened paperclip in and hold it for more than 10 seconds, this should reset to factory settings (I had to do this more than once) then you can connect via cable and access from your browser and re set your details.

How do i cannect my macg4 to my home network??

Ummmm by connecting wireless to a wireless access point that you would have (assumes you have Apple Airport Wireless option in your Mac) or by plugging in to a Switch/Hub (or router with a switch hub.)

Mac OS X should detect the wired connection and get IP Address and Router settings automatically ... just like any other computer.

If you have wireless in the Mac then you should have a radio waves looking Apple Airport Icon. You should be able to find your wireless network and Just Connect.

If all else fails press the Smiley Face button on the mac. :-)

(that was a joke.)

Mac OS X, now based on Unix Operating System, has very good networking sub system built-in. Should work without too much rocket science. The graphical widgets should help you get there.

It won't play blue ray disks though, I can tell you that much.

Laptop sees the wireless network and connects, but then indicates that there is little or no connectivity. Help

this mostly happens when the router has been configured to block certain devices. take a look at the wifi config, look for IP-filtering or MAC filtering. you should see tables containing letters and numbers. make sure this table is empty

Macbook 13.3" won't log in to wireless

You need to check your network card software your problem may lay there. I've seen this problem many times in the passed. I will install a wireless network card or software on someones computer and two days later it will not connect everything looks fine. No matter what I do it will not connect. Remove net software for the card or on board wireless reinstall and boom it works fine.
routers may need reset or configured off the internet or the start up cd. I take this a wireless router hooked to internet gateway. don't know not enough information you may need to tell me a little more. first try install of net-card software then set you working router to unsecure no pass word need see if you connect then change it to you wpa password protected.

Connecting Ipod touch 8(GB) to Wi-fi

Hi,
I want to tell you that there might be two problems for your concern.

1. Your router is not working properly
2. Your Ipod Touch is not working properly

But it might be possible that both devices working fine just the compatibility issue.

First of all i can suggest you that you can upgrade the firmware for your router.

Then you can reconfigure your wireless setting on your router.

Then tried to put static ip on your ipod touch in the network setting option

IP address: 192.168.0.15
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS: 4.2.2.2

Then tried again to connect wirelessly with your ipod touch make sure you dont required to add mac address for you ipod touch and also you can click on the option called "Wireless Access Point"

Then you can see the option " Turn Access Control On" you can uncheck this option.

Try again i believe that will resolve your concern.

Thanks & Regards

Connection probs

i assume that you are using an AOL modem/router. if so, in order for you not to hardwire your laptop is you need to connect it wirelessly. but you need to make sure that your aol device has wireless capability as well as your laptop. i will not be able to provide you the step by step solution since i don't know the exact model of your devices, but all you need to do is locate the wireless icon/connection on your laptop (usually there's an icon for the wireless icon located at the task bar of your screen for windows computer but with mac, you need to make sure that the airport is on) and view the available networks. your laptop should be able to detect the wireless signal coming from your aol device and all you need to do is connect to it

hope this'll help you but if you need more information, just provide the exact model of your devices.

ciao!

On aol, cannot get onto internet, says fail to connect to router

Start by resetting your router, then remove the the AOL program from your machine and reinstall it. If this is a wireless connection, you will want to uninstall the wireless drivers from the device manager and reboot. The machine will find the wireless and reinstall the drivers. This will fix it if it's a software or driver glitch. If it doesn't fix it, then the problem is most likely with the router, and you'll need to have a service tech come and check the router.

Router and aol

Connect the Router to the modem using Ethernet wire and then connect the laptop with an ethernet cord also and run the set up cd. make sure you get the right cabling.

and if you wnat to go wireless , then after running the set up cd, and was successful to make the wired conenction worked, then you can unplug the laptop now from the router and check if able to detect signal form router. usually you will get the prompt on the lower right hand cormer of the laptop.

then if is able to detect the signal, then log -on to that network.
