My grandma has recently been gifted a Polaroid TV as a Christmas gift. When the free view channels had the TV reset she lost the signal to an outdoor cctv camera for the building. We can't seem to get it...

probably the camera is either analogue or video . How was it connected to the TV via the Aerial Cable or via an AV input
If the camera is Analogue it may be on a ATV channel. So you would need to switch the input Source on the remote for the tv and check the ATV channels. If it was on a AV then try checking the AV input sources.
The free view channels is probably DTV source . .

Why can I only tune in one channel

Tuner fault. Check and replace it. Do a reset to this TV first, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Have just retuned digital terrestrial receiver Matsui DTR -2 for our area, how do I now record tv programmes with my Bush VCR925NSILXI? On analogue TV the recording channel was Channel 9

Recording, amazingly, has nothing to do with your TV, it only monitors the playback or recording input of your VCR or DVD recorder - the Channel 9 you mention.
They have their own tuners, indeed DVD recorders have Freeview (or DTV) tuners so no need for a separate box at all - given that your TV has a DTV tuner too and if a recent flat screen type it will.
If you can afford it, this is a good time to drop VHS and get a DVD recorder. You'll find plenty on Amazon Electronics for a start.
Your Bush VCR will be redundant the moment the analogue service goes off, they haven't made a VHS VCR with a DTV tuner.
Depending on your area this is a few months off, even for the last area to change over anyway, here in London there's just shy of nine months left.

My daughter has a Goodmans GTVL19W17HDF in her bedroom for two or three years. She has only now mentioned that she has now lost ITV1 Channel 4 and Channel 5 using DTV, and also has a very inconsistently...

Fisrt check that the aerial connector going into the TV is OK.
The UK is in the process of switching off the analogue channels and reassigning to digital TV. This means that the signal strengths of various transmitters are getting stronger and channels are moving around to different frequencies. Try retuning the digital TV stations. If this does not work then try an external DTV box to see if the TV is at fault or it is a bad signal on the aerial.

I am trying to tune my Toshiba 26WLT66 analogue channels but can't get it out of DTV mode. I know this can be changed because I put it into DTV mode at our other house - I have since mislaid the owner's...

Hi there not sure if you have resolved this yet but I had same problem and managed to resolve it by chance.
If you press and hold the source button (arrow pointing to the centre of a circle) this will give you all your source options down the left hand side, including analogue.
Scroll down to ATV and select then tune using menu options.
Hope this helps

How do I manually/automatically update the channels on my Samsung DNli DV3 TV?

Hi Hugh.

Please follow these instructions to manually/automatically update the digital (DTV) channels on the Samsung LE26R73BD.

Please use the following buttons on your Samsung remote control to navigate the on-screen menus:

- "D.MENU" - Opens/closes the on-screen menu (below the numerical key "0")
- DIRECTIONAL ARROW KEYS - To navigate up/down/left right through the on-screen menus
- "ENTER/OK" - Selects/confirms a selected option (in the centre of the arrows)

Automatic Channel Scan / Update:

1. Make sure you are in digital TV mode - Press the "TV/DTV" button on the remote to switch between analogue (ATV) and digital (DTV) modes.
2. Press the "D.MENU" key
3. Highlight "Installation" (first option) and press "OK/ENTER"
4. If asked for a PIN code, enter 0 0 0 0 using the numerical keys on the remote. If you have set a different PIN code, please enter your own code here.
5. Highlight "Select County" and press "OK/ENTER"
6. Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrows to select "UK" then press "OK/ENTER"
7. Highlight "Auto Scanning" and press "ENTER/OK"
8. Highlight "Scan Mode" and use the LEFT/RIGHT arrows to set the value to "Digital"
9. Highlight "Start Frequency" and use the LEFT/RIGHT arrows to set the value to "CH 21 . . ."
10. Highlight "End Frequency" and use the LEFT/RIGHT arrows to set the value to "CH 69 . . ."
11. Highlight "Start Frequency" again and then press "OK/ENTER" to start the channel scan.

Some of the options above will already be selected so will not need to be changed. I've provided the correct settings just in case they are incorrectly set. Note: UK Freeview stations are on channels 21 to 69 inclusive.

The scan will take a few minutes to complete and the progress will be displayed. When the channel scan is complete, the menu should close automatically and the TV will return to viewing mode. If not, press either the "D.MENU" or "EXIT" button to return to watching TV.

Manual Channel Scan / Update:

7. Highlight "Manual Scanning" and press "ENTER/OK"
8. Highlight "Scan Mode" and use the LEFT/RIGHT arrows to set the value to "Digital"
9. Highlight "Channel Number" and use the LEFT/RIGHT arrows to choose which channel number you wish to scan . . .

UK Freeview stations are on channels 21 to 69 inclusive. In manual tuning mode, these need to be scanned one at a time. Please note, many of these channels are "empty". UK Freeview only uses 5 of these channels (called Multiplexes or MUX) or 6 if you have HD. I am unable to tell you which 5 channels these are as they vary according to whichever transmitter or repeater station your aerial is aligned to.

10. Press "OK/ENTER" to start the channel scan.
11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for each additonal channel you wish to scan.

Please note: Manual scanning can cause some unexpected results - particularly if your aerial has a reception from more than one transmitter/repeater. For this reason it is better to use the automatical scan unless you have a specific reason for needing to scan manually.

Hopefully this will be all you need to update the digital channels on your TV. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please let me know.

Regards,
BElectric

Maxim 11-54 26 inch lcd tv switch mode power supply blown up need new one

I have a Maxim 15" Portable LCD TV with built in DVB-T Tuner.

It has worked well for 2 years.
Now when you switch it on set to DTV
Starts to reload the channels
Once it has found 90 channels it moves to Add and will not add any.
There are no stored channels from the built in freeview.
However we still have the normal 4 on ATV.
Any advice.
