You need to check the tuning caps (if these caps change the value or have high ESR, the oscillator will not run at the correct frequency and burnt up the transformer and the transistors) located by the inverter transformer also, need to check its value and ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance, use LC-75 tester), check the inverter transformer (use inductor tester, LC-75). Also make sure to resolder all the conennection on the transformers and other places that you can see poor solder joints.

Para resolver el problema de este modelo de monitores dell solo solo hay que cambiarle un fusible encapsulado que tiene cerca de un discipador de calor. parece un diodo pero no tiene la raya gris que tienen los diodos. es un fusible de 2amperes.

My monitor is on but the backlight is off. When you swicht the monitor at first, the lights come and go. I did check the inverter side and i fund out that pair of the driver transistors were dead. I did...

When you replace the transistors you should change all 4 of the C5707 transistors. You also need to resolder all of the connections to the 4 output transformers and the 4 output plug connections. If you did not resolder the these additional connections then the new transistors you install are more the likely dead now. The solder joints can crack because of the current and this causes the circuit to pull more amps than the transistors can handle. The new ones will blow within 2-3 seconds if you did not resolder the other connections.

The power button on my monitor flashes but will not trun on

There is a chance that you may have a couple bad capacitors on the power-inverter board but more than likely the problem will be a shorted out transistor. There are 4 on the inverter side of the board and one set may have gone bad. Capacitor problems may have caused the transistors to fail. Transistors are probably c5706 or c5707 and are black with 3 legs going though the board.
You would have to open it up to check and would need an ohm meter to verify if the transistors are shorted out.

Picture goes black at random intervals

There are 4 c5707/5706 in the inverter transformer driving circuits, the cause of the problem was due to poor solder connection in the bias circuits of the transistors. Make sure to check that after you install the new transistors otherwise you will blowthem up. Common problem with this model. When the circuit drwas too much power from the power supply, it will shut itself off to ptotect itself.

Monitor loses screen after 5-10 mins and then 5-10 seconds

Sounds more like the transformer's getting overheated/shorting internally. If you unplug it and leave it off for about 10 minutes, then plug it back in and get the 5 minutes of working video back, then I'd suspect it's heat related and something's breaking down internally.

Pavilion f1903 silver goes blank seconds after turning on.

The monitor you have has bad components on the circuit boards inside.
This is a classic problem with all LCD monitors.
I rebuild them on a daily basis so I recognize the symptoms.
I would suggest finding someone who can do component level repair on the circuit boards inside.
I also suggest not trying to repair yourself as there are many breakable components to them as well as components inside that do not like static electricity discharges.

look at the 3 amp. fuse on the mainboard! By the way, you can buy very cheap USB light, wich are working with a small lighttube. Use the transistors of their generator!

Found them

If you are referring to the C5707 inverter driver transistors, you can test them in circuit with an ohmmeter. Usually one pair will show shorted although only one may be actually shorted. Normal procedure is to replace the pair that shows in circuit short. If you do not resolder the transformer connections your transistors will short again.

Gone from blinkid led to lights out.

You really need to replace all 4 and also the 2 FU9024 chips and examine all the solder in the inverter area. Also if you have the 2 lamp connector board with a chungwa LCD panel them your lower lamp is probably also bad. Check out www.lcdrepair.us for instructional videos on Dell models as well as repair kits and boards for that unit.
