Dropped the camara,it turns on & everything works EXEPT capture button

Sound like it has water damage the only thing u can is put it in a every hot room r place for a day and then try to turn it on.

Leave it in a dry environment for a few days until everything dries. I'm afraid the camera is permanently damaged if the rain has salt or chemical content. Hopefully it doesn't and it's just a matter of drying out.

I have 2 xelim camaras. One of which has a piece of some type of cover partially obstructing the view. This camara still displays the time and menus and older pictures. If I take pix now the picture is obscured. The other camara has no picture on the display but when I take a picture it turns out just fine. That camara will need disassembled and a connector hooked back up

Most screens on digital camaras are for aiming the camara and output (displaying the picture) therefore any problems with the screen do not translate to a picture.

Dodgy fuses/ wiring

u have to open front and put 3 aa batteries ibn i had same prob

did you just try to press the shutter button halfway?if yes...press in all the way through...if still does not take a picture..master reset...

-press menu
-press right to go to setup
-go down to reset
-highlight yes then press menu to ok it
-turn off then on then try to take a picture

Try putting the phone in a very warm dry place, ay in the "Hot water cupboard" for a day or so and this may drive out any moisture that may be causing the problems, also shake the phone vigorously B4 you do so to try and dislodge any moisture. Or you could try disassembly and wiping the keypad contacts, perhaps there is still moisture there, or maybe it has shorted something else which is why ya gotta dry it out completely.

That is what casio calls a lens error. You will have to send it in and have it fixed. The cameras don't do well even when dropped from that short distance. Call repairs at 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 1. Tell them that you talked to tech support already otherwise they will try and transfer you to their tech support.

I need more information about what symptoms you are experiencing. I am going to guess that your shutter is stuck closed. This would cause a blank image to show on the view screen and your captured pictures. The regular icons and text would still display normally. Is this what you are seeing?
