Question about Computers & Internet
Thanks for using Fixya.
The major reason for the joystick getting jammed is that one of the potentiometers in the joystick has a spot where the contact fails to meet the resistave material, leaving a dead spot.
To check wheather your joystick is fine or not, please follow these steps
Then click on "game controllers" (if you don't see this click on "switch to classic view" on the box to the left)
Select your joystick and click properties, there should be a button to "calibrate" your controller.
Good Luck and have a nice day.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
