JVC TV SERIES always proteck?

There plenty of reason: 1. power supply problem - it might be blown up capacitor. 2. inverter problem and main board or mother board.

How do I get it out of demo mode? How do I reset the clock? How do I scan through channels? Jvc kd-r210

Hello... sorry to hear you are having problems! With the radio powered up, if you will hold down the "sel" button for about 2-3 seconds, it will enter into the menu mode. From there you will see "demo". Turn the volume knob counter clockwise to turn it off. Then press advance track button ">>>" til it says "clock h" and then rotate the volume knob to adjust the hour. Press the ">>>" button once more to the "clock m". Rotate the volume knob to set the minutes. After that you can press the "sel" button again to exit the menu mode. Hope this helped!! Good luck with your venture!

Ok my Sony vaio Model #VGN-NR120E keeps restarting on windows error recovery. I try starting in save mode, safe mode with networking, save mode with command prompt, last known good configuration...

HI dmanhd97,

Try this, restart your pc then press f8 continuously, this will take you to safe mode. then after that go to start>run> type in msconfig (windows xp) , and start>search> type in msconfig (windows 7)
this will open up the system configuration under the general tab
select the diagnostic start up then apply>ok>restart

Hope this helps,
thx

Help setting the time on a JVC KD240 Car Stero

Hello dmay006,

Are you releasing the SEL button after the receiver enters the PSM mode? As soon as the display changes, you should release the SEL button and then use the "up" button to scroll to the "item". Each time you press the "up" button, the display should change. When it reads "CLOCK HOUR", use the volume control to adjust the setting. Press the "up" button once again to advance to "CLOCK MIN" and adjust it with the volume control. Press SEL briefly once again to exit the PSM mode. Once in PSM mode, if no other button has been pressed within about 3-5 seconds, the receiver will automatically cancel the PSM mode.

If you are following this procedure and the receiver will not let you into the PSM mode or let you switch from item to item with the "up" "down" buttons, then it is most likely defective and requires service or replacement.

Hope this helps.

Gr-dvl-520u trying to record or playback tape it goes into safeguard mode within 5 seconds. alternatly pressing play and still every 3 seconds advanced the playback without it going into safeguard mod

According to http://www.techlore.com/article/10974/JVC-Camcorder-Stuck-in-Safe-Mode/,

"JVC notes that you are also given a malfunction code when the unit is placed into safeguard. If it displays code 01, 02, or 06 you should remove
the battery and powersupply and wait for a while. Code 03 and 04 indicate that you should eject and reinsert the tape.

If neither of these solutions work, your only alternative is to bring it to a shop or send it to JVC for diagnosis or repair. Unfortunately, there is no other way to clear the condition."

If you are getting E03 or E04 errors on every tape you try, it sounds like a servicing is required.
