This projector was working fine but when unplugged for any length of time it won't come back on. If you unplug and move to another room in the school and quickly plug in it will come on. We used it in the school library and someone unplugged it and it sat overnight now it will not turn back on. Do you think it is the bulb, ballast, or what? We need it at school and I am trying to figure out what the problem is. Thanks
Teach it a lesson. Leave it plugged in until it decides to come back on. If you have a remote control, you can try turning it on with that. Another option is carefully remove the lamp and put it back in again. It might be a false connection problem. One thing I always try is while plugged in and "supposedly" on, try dropping it about one half of an inch on the table top. If it has a loose connection, that sometimes fixes things.

The plugs on this model projector is very delicate, over time the solder around the plug will begin to crack. Until eventually the connection is lost. Another possibility is that the power supply has gone bad. Using another cord would not cause this. I can fix the projector if you'd like. My ebay screenname is gtitubro.
first off, i believe you mean IN2102ep. go into the menu and reset the settings to factory default. then go back in and check that the auto off and screensaver modes are set to never (or wherever you want them). if you still have a problem, you may have a power supply issue. if it'still under warranty, send it in to infocus. if it's out of warranty, you can send it in to an infocus service center. try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com
I had exactly this problem. After plugging and unplugging it multiple times over several weeks (even plugging it in quickly after it was unplugged but with the green light still flashing as suggested here) all to no avail, it just started working on its own one day. It worked for a few weeks and then the problem re-appeared.
InFocus tech support recommended: 1. Check whether the lamp door is securely closed. 2. Check the color of the LED and the number of time it blinks. (For me, a very fast almost flickering flash) 3. Does the fan operate? (My fan would go on when plugged in) 4. Remove the lamp module, shake it gently and reseat the lamp module.
For me, these steps did not work. InFocus then recommended that I send it to ProjectorDoctor http://online.projectordoctor.com/, and it was diagnosed with a bad power supply. $395, but it is fully functional again. Good luck.........
