I recently bought an AVerMedia DVD EZMaker USB Gold and I tried it out by live streaming on justin.tv (a streaming website) and despite audio (Don't have the cables for it I believe) it was working just fine. A few days later though, I tried the capture device again and it won't work. When I select the video part, I'm supposed to be able to see what the device is currently sending (ex: where I am in a game) but all it shows on justin.tv is a giant X over the selection saying that I can't use. Mind you that I have been using it for 2 weeks for live streaming my gaming consoles (especially PS2) and it's been fine. Please help when possible
SOURCE: Is the AverDVD EZmaker PCI video capture card Vista-compatible?
My AVerTV program does not run properly. I have installed it properly but each time I click on the TV icon it runs for a few seconds and then it closes with a message that AverTV Media has encountered a propblem and needs to close. What can I do to fix the problem.

Hi there,
this problem can be caused by many different things, I would recommend you try the following:
1, I would first uninstall the software and drivers for the stick and then clean the computers registry using a program such as the free for 30 days tune up utilities available from http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/
2, Download the latest drivers from AverMedias website instead of using the ones provided on the CD
3, Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, updates are available from the graphics card manufacturer.
4, Try the stick in a different USB port
5, Defrag your harddrive
If after all this the stick does not work I would return it to the manufacturer and ask for a replacement to rule out that it is the stick and not your computer
