What you did lately have you worked on something or you change something in car and you test the solenoide of the strater if no check by lamp connect a lamp to the solenoide of the starter when you switch on the ignition and still there is no light so you have to change the ignition key if the light is on so you have to change to starter solenoide

Lots of power, dash lights up but no ignition power to starter, relay changed, neutral start switch changed, fuses good.

Well, looking at the schematic, there is the IGN A (Fuse 6) in the under-hood fuse block feeding power to both the ignition switch and to the NO contact of the starter relay. Turning the ignition switch to the START position sends this voltage thru the CRANK (Fuse 8) in the instrument panel fuse block and thru the PARK/NEUTRAL position switch, thru the starter relay coil to ground. This should activate the Starter relay and pass voltage to the starter solenoid to ground, activating it. One the starter solenoid activates, batter power is sent to the starter motor, activating it. If, as you say, the fuses are good, the starter relay was replaced and is good, and the Park/Neutral position switch was replaced and is good, then then only items left are the ignition switch itself, the starter solenoid/motor, or the wiring of the circuit.

HOW DO YOU DISENGAGE 4WD 1997 PATHFINDER

Hi Diamond, These vehicles do sometimes have a problem in disengaging the 4 X 4. Start up and drive it backwards and forwards slowly (3 or 4 miles per hour will do). Gently put pressure on the lever in the direction of the 2 high and after some time it will change. (If nothing has been damaged inside the box, which is unlikely) Regards John

If the ignition switch fuse, starter relay, battery, and starter are all new, why wont my jeep crank

Here are some possible reasons:

Park/neutral switch is open.
Poor ground connection to starter.

You can test the park/neutral switch by either jumping the solenoid (connect the hot terminal to the start terminal to see if the starter cranks--if it does, the ground is good) or by interrogating the starter relay socket. To interrogate the relay socket, use a 12 volt test light connection the clip to battery positive. Probe the socket terminals with the test light. If only one terminal lights the light, your park/neutral switch is bad or the start wire to the solenoid is bad.

I have a 93 pathfinder SE 4X4 automatic transmission that had full power, new starter and battery. Sometimes it will start and sometimes not. By passed starter relay by adding push button start and it started 6-8 times then nothing. I finally figured out that it was the neutral safety or inhibitor switch on the 4 wheel drive shifter. Just an idea..good luck

Installed brand new starter, battery fully charged, and still wont crank. It starts when I kick start it. 1988 nissan pathfinder. What else could be the problem? Relay switch? Or ignition? Please help

Check the ignition switch, and the wiring to the starter solenoid. Get someone to turn the key to the crank (start) position and check for voltage at the starter solinoid. Check the starter relay and all fuses.
